The comparison on price is against Lemforder, which come out to about $155
each. The genuine parts, with 25-30% off list you can get through many
dealers, come out to $175-$185.

I didn't find the TRWs until recently. I'd give them a shot.

Moog means nothing to me in terms of Mercedes OEMs... probably reboxed
stuff. Might even be TRW, take a close look at what you get.

Here is what Taiwanese Lemforder parts look like, which I refused to use:

that is about twice what I paid for moog the last time I did LCAs on
124.  What I put on looked correct, and they have done well for several
years now.
So, while the MB parts are probably good as or better than, they are not
"a few dollars more"

I suspect trw make the moog or vice versa.   They both have the white
boot on the ball joint.

I also buy a lot of stuff from the classic center, they stock a surprising
amount of things. Last friday I had them overnight me connecting rod bolts
for a M117, they had them in stock. They can certainly get you these.

The control arms are:

1243303407
1243303507

List is around $250 each.

These more also be worth trying...TRW made the ones I got from MB:

The local dealer - despite lousy customer service - repaired my 300TD
central locking system w/o even telling me, and accurately diagnosed some
other serious issues, while charging me the shop minimum. I then had my
indy make the repairs at a fraction of what the dealership would have
charged.

Yeah I forgot which flavor is most favored currently but the 500eboard
 is a
good place to search. Some of the ball joint brands are really crappy and
 fail quickly.

been flickering so I guess it is time to deal with that.  That will be

for a relatively fast repair, buy the new LCA.  If you replace the
strut,  you also need the dust cover, and bearing   I probably forgot
somethings too.

You can try flaps/amazon.  or pay next day from crockauto.
