I did the Google, didn't find any workarounds, but I found a corecom tech support page which said I should be using authmail.core.com when I had been using mail.voyager.net. I sent a text message, it asked me for my password, and it went through, no messing with the port setting. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
Re: [MBZ] OT:wireless broadband
The bad news is that my ISP blocks outgoing email that doesn't originate on their network, so I have to log off the EVDO and log on to dial-up to send email. Mitch. If you register a domain with Godaddy.com, you get one email address for free. It includes an SMTP server that is listening on port 80. Thus if you can browse, you can send mail. *grin* --Philip ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

You just need to find a different SMTP server. Does Alltel give you an email address? If so you could use the SMTP server, but not their email.
