Yesterday afternoon I received an email message from someone in Lahore,
Pakistan offering to do work for my law office:

Typing

? Transcription

? Editing

? Formatting

? Diagrams

? Working on Incorporation Documents and Annual Return files

? Drafting Agreements

? Forms as per requirement

? Time Sheet Management

? Drafting PDF into MS Word, MS Excel or other Applications

? Data Entry (QBook, Simply Accounting, etc...)

Cheaply and securely.

The computer age is a bit scary. Pretty soon, they will be offering to
haul my old car over there for a tuneup and then ship it back, cheaper
than the fellow down the block can do it.

The more people you put between yourself and the work you're trying to get
done, the more chance for screw ups. Throw in language differences,
questionable reliability of communication systems, work ethics, and
outsourcing for anything of any importance is a disaster waiting to happen,
in my opinion. There is no money to be saved in the end, it's all a false
economy.

This is cracking me up - here is why. Yesterday a fellow medical practice
manager shared that his physicians were going to begin using a transcription
service in pakistan. The administrator said he knows its not going to work,
but has to try it as its 1/2 price to apease the physicians he is working
with. He is sure it will have more blanks on each dictation and that all
the physician time will be spent correcting them.

It is the universal indoctrination we have all received and learned
well through the years and try to practice as effectively as possible.
 It is all religion.
Save dollars. Dollar is god - god needs to be saved, so we save god,
we save dollars, we fall for scams. We don't see that line of logical
