My 911 has classic tags in Va with similar exemptions as yours in Tx - I probably drive it a little more than I am supposed to but haven't been caught, *yet *;-) Our 91 300D is close to qualifying but since my wife drives it to work daily that won't work. Florida has no such designation, only antique which is limited to the sorts of vehicles you would see in a parade. Wisconsin used to have a good classic registration, but they restricted the months of the year you could drive it in. In other words, times like December through February were a no-no. It was cheap, though - something like $45 for 2-3 years if I recall. I suspect it's an end of life sort of thing. When they see the revenue from the parts going down below a certain point it's no longer profitable, so they push it off to the Classic Center.
