Bon-ami is feldspar and limestone, which is 'soft' compared to, say, Comet. Designed to not scratch porcelain. Barkeeper's friend is oxalic acid and feldspar. I remember Marshall saying to use Bonami cleanser for cleaning windshields. I've tried that with a felt pad on a buffer with decent results. I wonder what grit that is? Yeah, the cerium oxide is really fine but very hard. I would probably try rubbing compound first just for grins. It’s pretty aggressive, but shouldn’t do any damage.
