Re: [MBZ] Benz / guns (my only post, I promise, and please no responses)
it's just a matter of trying to be prepared. The most I protected myself was an 8 hunting knife under the seat of my MG when I was stationed in NYC and that was only because I'd have to wait sometimes around Battery Park (car top down) in the wee hours of the morning in line waiting for the ferry boat to arrive for the ride to the island on which the base was situated -- a ferry boat that ran only every half hour. Don, you know I am your most ardent supporter and no. 1 fan, but with all due respect, you are 6' + tall and physically imposing, so one might make the argument that your mere APPEARANCE will REPEL criminals... Well, I'm sure I could find you an IT job at my place Don. I work in a BIG provincial crime lab (200 employees) with an arsenal down the hallway in the middle of the red light district of Canada's biggest city and homicide capital. My home, Toronto. I dodge street urchins everyday to and from my car to my office (I park blocks away) and during breaks through the day when I go out for a coffee or lunch. I too have never needed the need to carry a handgun, not that I could if I wanted to anyway. We up here constantly just shake our heads in wonder at this everyone must have a gun mentality down south. It really is quite baffling and twisted logic. And I know of no one in Atlanta who does. (Yes, I have friends and acquaintances there). Not really that imposing looking. Blacks want to kill me because I look SO white and the Jewish suspect that I am leftover from some Nazi breeding experiment.
