All W123 front calipers are the same. The only thing is they used Bendix or ATE. As long as you change both it doesn't matter. They took different brake hoses depending on the VIN but it didn't impact the calipers. Are there any numbers on the caliper or box? Perhaps it was just picked wrong or there is the chance that the wrong one was put in the right box.
