They don't go for a lot of money, but the price does seem low. It must rank as one of the best cars ever made. Last one I was in had the full AMG treatment too. Not everyone liked the styling, but the quality and attention to detail was the best I've ever seen in any car. I always thought it was a beautiful car - like the SL but with the coupe roof. - much better looking than the older W107s. Yuck - But I don;t think I could afford to maintain and feed that V12. There was a article in RT a while back about Affordable V12s. They featured the V12 BMW, Jag and MB - might have been one more but cannot remember what it was -- Larry T (66 MGB, 74 911, 91 300D) www.youroil.net for Oil Analysis and Weber Parts Test Results http://members.rennlist.com/oil PORSCHE POSTERS! youroil.net 800-583-8601 Weber Carb Info http://members.rennlist.com/webercarbs - Original Message - From: Rick Knoble [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Mercedes Discussion List Mercedes@okiebenz.com Sent: Thursday, March 27, 2008 11:07 AM Subject: [MBZ] CL V12 Coupe Almost too cheap to be true http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/car/620372856.html Not Mine, No Affiliation, ect. It's a great time to be shopping though. ;-) A top of the line Mercedes, with a V12 engine to boot Somebody stop me!! lol. Just think, this car is going for the price of a new set of nice rims, and they're throwing the car in for free, and it's a really nice car. If it got 10 MPG, I think I could justify it. :-) Ed 300E On 27/03/2008, Mitch Haley [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Rick Knoble wrote: Almost too cheap to be true http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/car/620372856.html Perhaps the demand for 15 year old 15mpg cars with againg electrical systems is not that great right now? ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com ___ http://www.okiebenz.com For new parts see official list sponsor: http://www.buymbparts.com/ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

Re: [MBZ] CL V12 Coupe
Might work, I think the HP on a Lister is similar to that on the 240D and the weight of the engine is about the same. With that big flywheel, once you got it reved up, it would have momentum. I can't recall, do the Listers have removable panels on both sides of the block or just on the one side? If both sides, you could swap the panels for some polycarbonate windows so that you could look through the motor instead of around it. I think you should just go for it and post some photos. The V-12 engine is ALL the charm. IMHO, the 600SEC is one of the ugliest, most hulkingly misproportioned MBs ever produced. Re: [MBZ] CL V12 Coupe/hulk/BMW850i
Someone mentioned the 600 V12 coupe weighed about the same as a 1 bedroom condo..Probably so--but I know the Benz, with the double glass, would be more quiet than the condo! I always said a car enthusiast should own at least one V12 in his life time. Too that end, I bought a set of shop manuals for the Jag XJS V12 about 20 years ago. Never happened yet!! If I ever get a V12, it WON'T be a Jag. The Benz V12 made my wallet twitch. My absolute favorite V12 car has got to be the BMW 850i. There was one on Ebay not long ago. It may have been relisted.
