Yeah, I totally lack restful sleep most nights. Time for another sleep
study I guess (ast one was 8 years ago).

Re: [MBZ] First night with cpap

2017-08-23 Thread Dan--- via Mercedes
That could be, but another way is when people complain of chronic fatigue.
This can be a result of them not having restful sleep. The wife was a major
league sufferer of sleep apnea which left her pretty much wiped out during the
day. Fortunately, in her case making some changes to the way she slept (as far
as positioning and bed type) resolved the issue.

That's events per hour, or 42 events total if you ran the machine eight hours.

I think 5 per hour under treatment is the threshold for calling it well
treated. You'll probably always have some in auto mode, sometimes it responds
to the onset of symptoms before you have an event, but I think usually it's
chasing events when it raises the pressure.

10 per hour is considered a potential medical issue.
40 per hour is considered severe.
87 is almost twice what I had in my sleep study.
If you stop breathing for more than ten seconds 87 times an hour, you're
spending a major portion of your sleep time in apnea. Might be interesting to
get a copy of your sleep study results and see how dangerous your oxygen levels
were.
