Re: [MBZ] HP bye bye
Only if you didn't actually READ the press release. They're not ending production they're SELLING production. Lenovo did an admirable job when they took over from IBM, no reason why HP should be different. Their workstations are substantially better than any other PC maker, especially right now, the Z400 and Z800 that we spec are actually better than their Mac counterparts. -Curt Date: Fri, 2 Sep 2011 00:00:04 EDT From: relng...@aol.com To: mercedes@okiebenz.com Subject: Re: [MBZ] HP bye bye Message-ID: 2ce21.de6abdc.3b91a...@aol.com Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 ...They decided to quit the not so profitable consumer pc biz and cancel their bablet upstart, selling tablets for $99.? They may have lost a lot of momentum in the past ten years, but to people old enough to remember the old Laserjets, HP's first bulletproof laptops, etc. the brand is still a marker of quality. Actually, they are considering selling or spinning off the PSG unit. They expect to make a decision in 12 to 18 months. Nothing is a sure deal yet. I still can't get an answer whether it includes the commercial lines or just the consumer lines, the thin clients, etc. On Fri, Sep 2, 2011 at 8:24 AM, Curt Raymond curtlud...@yahoo.com wrote: Only if you didn't actually READ the press release.
