Exactly. Any landing that you can walk away from is a good landing. Any
landing where you can re-use the aircraft is a great landing!

I think that the condition of the seat springs and padding are key; any of the
cars or trucks mentioned have the potential to delight or despair.

Height and weight and physical condition of the driver also play a role.

I found the w124 seats, granted 95, not clapped out, were comfy enough to allow
my backside to survive ten to twelve hours in the saddle at speed for a week.
The 107 is good for a few hours with a semi rebuilt padding solution. I am on
the fence regarding the w220 and the w140. The 140 seats are wonderful and
plush, but I have not had opportunity to test them long range. The w220 was
great for the 24 hour scrambles from SEA to DEN and back. The w126 had
reliable seats that served for a pair of 16 hour sprints within a week.

I think one needs to make a distinction as to what they want in the way of seat
comfort.

I like the W124 and R129 seating, as it “cradles” you well fro more aggressive
driving.

If you want the “living room couch” feel, the W140 and W126 are far better.

Either one isn’t bad for long distance driving, I’ve just found the W126 and
W140 to be more comfortable if I’m making a 18 hour return to home run, that’s
all.

I think 124 is better than 210 as far as seat comfort goes.

W126 and W140 for sure. The W210 seats aren’t bad, either. W124 and R129 are
the worst, IMHO.

My 126 seats are OK but somewhat compacted. After I rebuilt (new pads and
repaired springs) the seats on my old 123 wagon, they were quite comfortable.

I think that of mine, it's a toss up between the 126 and the 107.
