Re: [MBZ] WOW, I dont think I have seen a 115 this rusty
My 220D had holes rusted through the tops of the front fenders - water poured up through them when we drove through puddles - the kids loved it back then! It didn't have much rust on the bottoms of the doors - but I did abandon it due to the rusted frame. It did it's first 100k miles as a daily driver in MN. -- OK Don, KD5NRO Norman, OK The Americans will always do the right thing... after they've exhausted all the alternatives. Klebie, For that subject line, I am going to send you pictures of the 76 I am scrapping. The one you refer to is pristing in comparison. When i drove it home, the LR fender was flapping in the breeze and every time I went over a bump, pieces fell off. I drove it 750 miles that way. I was never sure the care was not going to fold up like an accordion, but the drive train ran great! Re: [MBZ] WOW, I dont think I have seen a 115 this rusty
Yeah, all the junkyards in Awa used to be filled with rusty ol cars in the 70s and 80s All the 115s around here rusted away along ago. the 65 190Dc I drove as a winter car in the 80s was worse than that. I still have that car as a parts car, although other than the trans and diff, I am not sure what is still good on it. Glass and window regulators, I guess.
