Hi Tim - I clicked on the link, and appreciate the Healthy Choices ideas -
the only little ones running around here are grandkids but it is still
useful. I could not find any indication of 'vote' or Charlotte Crone'

I'm using the Opera browser. Do I need to use IE?

Subject: [MBZ] Way, way OT: SWMBO's Healthy Choices project...

My wife was invited to the Clinton Global Initiative: University
conference this weekend for her Healthy Choices Project. The project
is a fairly simple idea, giving kids small rewards for doing things
that promote their general health. Cheap, measurable,
privately-funded (last time it was self-funded). Yes I'm proud, she
did a good, reasonably well-ordered and scientific job with it. :)

Anyway, they are doing a bracket of some of the better ideas of the
conference, and she is up against the home team (UCSD) and losing
miserably to some project about disaster lighting. Anyway the better
she does the more likely she is to interest donors, so...

Would you vote for her project? Bottom left, Charlotte Crone with
the NCCU logo. Click the vote button, does require Ajax support in
the browser though. Multiple submissions are okay, but require page
reloads.

More about the project: http://healthychoices.org , not coincidentally
I am the webmaster so if you have any suggestions I am all ears; I
will be working on the site some this afternoon.

Thanks,

2011-04-02 Thread Tim C
Ended in a loss at 8ET. That means she might not get to shake Bill
Clinton's hand, from what I understand. ...

I'm still inclined to believe second is about as good as first from a
publicity standpoint, she got as many views as possible, and I wasn't
really expecting to go past the third tier - so thanks to all of you
for stepping up and blowing part of your Saturday on the contest!

And of course, any comments/suggestions/issues with the
healthychoicesproject.org page, please let me know. Now, I shall roll
back onto variously appropriate forum topics; I appreciate you all
humoring me.

Thanks again,
-Tim

Thanks!  A couple of the Banned guys pushed her over 50% but UCSD is
definitely pushing back, the number seems to ebb and flow so
definitely every vote is a help.  I'd be much happier if she came in
first, or at least second, than fourth, and hopefully local printers
etc. would be more likely to take notice. :)

Many thanks to everyone who has been following the threads. :)

 Thanks,
 -Tim
