Re: [MBZ] limited slip in 560SEL into 300SD/Won't interchange!
I want an LSD in the 123. There has been much speculation that its doable. I have also read that the cost of rebuilding the LSD runs well above $1g depending on whats needed. -Rolf Christopher McCann wrote: Thought about that. Since it's an SD we're talking about, you could then also swap in the 617 from a TD ;) On Wed, Mar 12, 2008 at 6:07 PM, OK Don [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: What about swapping in the whole rear suspension? - Oh yeah, the hydraulic self leveling stuff On Wed, Mar 12, 2008 at 8:11 AM, Christopher McCann [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: when you say physically larger differential you are talking about the whole mechanism..i.e. a bigger pumpkin, so to speak? Mitch is correct. the 420 and 560 V8s used a physically larger differential. The diesels, 6s, and the 380 small V8 used the small differential. Different flange sizes are just one of the problems.
