OpenBGP compare prefix from other peer
Hi all, i have following configuration: Upstream A [RA] [RC] [RB] --- Upstream B EBGP: RA - Upstream A RB - Upstream B Upstream A has 100% full internet routing table Upstream B has 70% internet routing table. on RA and RB: fib-update no and have default route to their respective EBGP peering RC has default route to RB, I want to keep kernel routing table as minimal as possible. How do i distribute routes from RA to RC and update kernel routing table if there is no route from RB? on RC i want to something like this: deny from RA deny from RB allow from RA if there's no route from RB So RC only contain 30% internet routing table. (RA and RB has 30% differences) Is it possible? Nowadays 30% of full internet routing table are 90K prefixes. Is there any significant differences looking up 300K than 90K routing table? Thanks, Leo
anyone tried using urndis0?
I have my Droid (Cyanogenmod 5.0.6.2 installed) hooked up to my laptop, and I'm able to get an IP, and I see traffic moving across my Droid, but when I do pkg_add or do a cvs pull, I get the following message: urndis0: urndis_decap invalid msg len 1558 buffer len 1542 and my throughput drops to nothing. When I disconnect urndis0 from the laptop, I get this error: urndis0: usb errors on rx: IOERROR urndis0 detached I don't have the laptop with me at the time of writing, but as an additional test, I started a VMWare instance of the latest -current, and plugged the Droid in and allowed the connection directly to my instance. urndis(4) shows on my instance, but I still get the same error on the VMWare instance. I allowed the tethering to connect to my windows box at work, and then setup my instance to pull an IP from the phone. Doing pkg_add and cvs pulls works fine, with no error messages. Has anyone had this issue?
SAS RAID Controller of Dell PowerEdge R300 causes trouble
Hello, I noticed another thread discussing the same controller (SAS1068E) and wanted it to be known the same (hanging) problem exists on the Dell R300. We do not have the slow disk performance discussed on the X4150. The hang is only reliably reproduced after 72 days of uptime. We have about 10 of these devices running and none of them have ever made it to 73 days of uptime without experiencing the complete system hang problem. Our definition of hang: * ssh - socket connects but no login prompt * carp - still sends out carp messages and stays master * syslog - somehow there are still logs with timestamps after the hang (so it seems the system is still able to write just not read) Basically it seems like everything that doesn't require a read of the disk works. Everything that does require read hangs indefinitely. The only way to restore the box is by cycling the power. For comparison with Florian's post: Writing 1024 MB (dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=1024 count=100): Dell R300 OpenBSD 4.6 amd64: 102400 bytes transferred in 9.805 secs (104429546 bytes/sec) Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. -Corey Smith dmesg: OpenBSD 4.6 (GENERIC.MP) #81: Thu Jul 9 21:26:19 MDT 2009 dera...@amd64.openbsd.org:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC.MP real mem = 3482976256 (3321MB) avail mem = 3366756352 (3210MB) mainbus0 at root bios0 at mainbus0: SMBIOS rev. 2.5 @ 0xcfb9c000 (55 entries) bios0: vendor Dell Inc. version 1.3.0 date 08/15/2008 bios0: Dell Inc. The default map format is suitable for storing simple, unstructured, key-to-value string associations. However, if the mapped value has special meaning, as in the case of the virtual domains file, a suitable type must be provided. The available output types are: aliases The mapped value is a comma-separated list of mail destinations. This format can be used for building user aliases and virtual domains files. set There is no mapped value - a map of this type will only allow for the lookup of keys. This format can be used for building primary domain maps. When would the set type be use then? If this is for primary domain only, I assume this mean domain to be deliver on the local server. If so, then the alias only is used to create the account in that case. If so and you have test in the aliases file, then test@ will answer for all the domains in on the server, not only a specific one? I get the aliases type, but I do not get the set type here? Crash during boot. Fresh install of 4.7
I ordered the 4.7 cd and have successfully installed it on 2 machines, but the third is giving me some trouble. The install went OK, but after reboot, there was a crash. I took pictures of the screen and typed what I think is most important below. I get the same message if I type trace at the ddb prompt. I though I may have forgotten to flag the partition as active, so I rebooted the install cd and verified that it was active. If it matters, OpenBSD is installed on the 4th primary partition. I'm still fairly new to OpenBSD and am not sure if there is really something wrong, of if I have done something dumb. Those that might have a clue need to see a dmesg of that system and acpidump output.
