Russia has cancelled the move to DST for 2011. Is cancellation DST for Russia added to 5.0 version? Is any patch to cancellation for 4.9 version?

It was easy to find until quite recently when some wankers who do astrology set about sueing the database maintainers. If it was, then OpenBSD would already have a man page for it.

Re: the ports are really functional?

Please tell me if it is natural to every time I download large modifying ports so, if so, then why say functional? PS: I'm run 4.9 on 4.9 ports PS2: I do not like binary Zantgo Did you build 4.9 from source? If not, you are already using downloaded binaries. Building ports is good for checking if your hardware is sound. Building ports on -current is useful for modifying a port or adding a new port to ports tree. Building ports are also for adding programs/etc that do not have binaries. You could also build ports on 4.9 if you are customizing a port just for your needs.
Re: mixerctl.conf(5), mixerctl(1)
I thank Jason McIntyre for his kind answer to my question. I find regretable that Jan Stary call a troll someone that only makes a remark on the man pages. By the way, I realy didnt know the syntax of the file. Rod.
Re: mixerctl.conf(5), mixerctl(1)
I forgot: Jan Stary Mail do not answer any of my questions. It seems it was written only to call me a troll. Rod.

Whilst the DST riddance (or, well, a permanent DST) is a welcome move, the way in which it is done is quite absurd. And due to the momentum, and, perhaps, the implicit inconvenience to the neighbour states, Belarus and Ukraine also decided to abandon DST, even giving a correspondingly shorter notice! Blah. C.

AFAIK, ICANN now look after this, and I believe are going to fight any legal qualms. Given ICANN has some mone in it's coffers for this sort thing it is probably for the 'better' in the long run. http://www.iana.org/time-zones NZ a couple of years ago changed the DST boundaries as well - due to political micro-management. Agreed it is a giant PITA. - What happened to internet 'beats'? I quite liked 500 points in the day and being able to use decimal, I even had a phone with beats on it at one point. -JoelW

raw sockets
Hello everyone, I have to use raw sockets for a college assignment. I basically have to code a simplified FTP client of sorts to connect 2 machines. No IP nor TCP involved by definition. The specification for this assignment is similar to the Kermit protocol, if anyone is familiar with that. I wonder if any of you have some good material to point me at. Most tutorials are for Linux (and I will be the first ever in make this assignment in OpenBSD!) The man pages are awesome, but I was looking for some material that would point me at the right direction from a beginner's point of view. I've read the sockets, recv and send man pages, I would be glad to hear what other man pages are important for this project. Thanks in advance.

It may be a good idea to download src.tar.gz (web interface to CVS is also nice, but you will not be able to use grep) and try to find any similar code there. Netintro(4) is definitely worth reading.
