some weird problem with em network interface
Hello I've been using a pcengines apu4 board for about 3 years now. I noticed a problem that I can't precisely undestand with the em network interfaces (Intel I211). I'm using 2 interfaces in gigabit mode, one in 100 Mbps and another in 10 Mbps. Intefaces in gigabit mode work very well. The other ones are intermitent. Sometimes works and suddenly stop working. For instance, when I ping the interfaces (100 and 10 Mbps) from another computer connected to the network sometimes works and sometimes don't. When the problem occurs, the packets don't show up in tcpdump. I connected another interface (axe0: AX88772) in USB port and configured it exactly the same as a 10 or 100 Mbps interface and it works perfectly, with no errors at all. My question is: is there any known problem with the em driver ? Thanks, Paulo.
PC Engines apu4 network performance
Hello guys, I've configured a pc engines apu4 with openbsd 6.9 and I verified the network performance is around 550 mbit/s with pf and 700 mbit/s without. Is there any known issue for that poor performance ? Running another OS on the same hardware I can reach some like 920 mbit/s. I've googled for this problem and it appears some messages from 2018. Kind Regards, Paulo.

Hi, I've a bunch of LeaderShip 8430 which has a Prolific PL-2303 chip and use the uplcom driver (besides it is not listed in the uplcom man pages it works fine). I've tried from usb memory stick and the same problem. Both the cd and usb work on my thinkpad. Thanks, Paulo.
material about magicpoint
Hello misc, I've installed the magicpoint presentation tool and I would like to know if there is any related book or complete user guide (in english, french or portuguese). The tool seems to be very simple and easy to use, but I would like to see what is possible to do with it. Any recommendation ? Thanks, Paulo.
disk bad block
Hi misc, I would like to create a large partition on a disk, but this disk has a known bad block. How could I create the partition without the bad block ? One solution is to create two partitions without the bad block and use ccd. Is there another solution ? And is there any way to isolate some bad blocks on an existing partition? I know that I should buy another disk :-) Thanks Paulo Manoel Mafra LCMI - Laboratorio de Controle e Micro Informatica Departamento de Automagco e Sistemas - UFSC
