Re: [Mobile.AI] Android update

2017-03-15 Thread Viraj Kafle
How do we handle the change in answering calls? I've heard locating
the slider and swiping right with one finger doesn't work with
Talkback in Android latest build? The Google help section in this
regard also is not updated it seems! Also, is there any increase in
battery drain?

Some inputs based on actual experience may be of great help!

Regards.

[Mobile.AI] Issues with Moto G 4 Plus

2016-12-22 Thread Viraj Kafle
Friends,

I am considering switching from Samsung Galaxy J2 to Moto G 4 Plus
because of greater storage, higher ram and processor and the upcoming
Android update. However, while playing with a newly purchased Moto g 4
Plus device I noticed the following:
1. At times the phone does not respond to double tap gesture and one
has to double tap again to activate the desired item. I have tried
changing the tap sensitivity level from Talkback settings, but the
issue still seems to be there.
2. While switching to speaker phone during a call, Talkback speech
does not switch to speaker volume. As a result, the speech is very low
compared to the on speaker call voice which is pretty high.

I am not facing these issues in Galaxy j2 phone, although there are
other issues that relate to lesser capacity Ram and processor.

So any help on the above mentioned issues would be of great help!

Regards.

Re: [Mobile.AI] forwarding messages in whats app on iPhone

2016-08-22 Thread Viraj Kafle
Double tap and hold on the message and then keep flicking right till
you hear the Forward and various other options. Works both with
Talkback on Android and Voiceover on IOS. On Ios, triple tapping the
message also gives the same result.

Re: [Mobile.AI] Guidance needed

2016-07-21 Thread Viraj Kafle
Hi,

To address the first two queries:

1. Generally, we can get the position of the element on the screen by
navigating to the desired element through one finger flick right/left
and tapping the screen with three fingers. Once you get the position,
try finding the desired option accordingly.
2. If you are familiar/comfortable with Braile or writing in print,
you may try Braille Screen Input or Handwriting options respectively.
The options can be enabled by adding them in the Rotor from Voiceover
Settings. .

Hope this helps.

Regards.

[Mobile.AI] Entering emojis with Google keyboard using TalkBack

2016-03-25 Thread Viraj Kafle
Friends,

Theoretically I know the process to enter emojis, which is to longpress the
Return key and slide the finger across to find the emoji button and lift
it. However, the process does not work most of the times. Either I fail to
locate emoji option, or time gets over and alternative characters are
dismissed by the time I manage to locate it.

Sso how can emojis be input smoothly,? Could there be alternative ways?

Regards.

Re: [Mobile.AI] how to access "go read" application in android mobile?

2016-03-11 Thread Viraj Kafle
The app should work well with books transferred from other devices.
However, you may want to try downloading the books directly from the
app and see whether the problem persists. Try downloading the text
only version. The problem may also be with the selected TTS. I haven't
found the way to navigate through the book using regular gestures
except that of playing it.

Regards.

[Mobile.AI] Automatic language detection in vocaliser for android

2016-02-22 Thread Viraj Kafle
Friends,

Is it possible to configure vocaliser tts to automatically detect language
and switch over in case the voice data for the detected language is
installed?

Thanks,

Viraj

Re: [Mobile.AI] Navigating through webpage headings using Talkback on Android device?

2016-02-15 Thread Viraj Kafle
Hi,

Thanks for the response.

Have tried older Firefox with some success. However the three finger
navigation gestures don't work consistently and reliably. Hence would
still awaiting possible resolution to the Section Navigation issue. In
Chrome, Talkback jumps straight to the Home button, whereas in Firefox
the TTS mutes as I navigate to the next section and returns only when
I swipe back and forth.

Section Navigation generally works well, as demonstrated by various
Articles/Audio Tutorials I have read/listened. So what could be
causing the issue?

Thanks once again.

What would be the VO version of this trick? Touching one of the buttons at the
bottom with one finger and split tapping with another 10 times?

[Mobile.AI] Android Update vs Talkback Update

2015-11-03 Thread Viraj Kafle
Dear list members,

As a non-Android user, I want to know whether Talkback automatically
updates with each Android OS update, Or does one need to update it
 separately?

I understand that Talkback comes preinstalled in Android OS phones.
But unlike, say, Voiceover, it is also separately available on Google
 Playstore. Hence my curiosity.

 Thanking in anticipation,
