[Mobile.AI] Android phone recommendation based on OS

2017-03-16 Thread John Clayton
Hello there,

The subject might be a bit unclear. Let me explain it a bit further

I am looking for a secondary android phone with a duel sim, with the OS
variant that's most accessible out of the box and requires no rooting, as
rooting voids the warranty from what I know.

I have noticed that most android phones seem to be slightly sluggish when it
comes to touch sensitivity, I.E you have to apply a bit of force to have
your touch register.

So here are my needs.

1: It has to be between 10k to 15k, the lower the better. Since my IOS
device meets all my needs and this will just be around for its duel sim
capabilities and a bit to enable me to get a feel for android and its
workings.

2: duel sim, read above.

3: doesn't have issues that most phones are bundled with I.E shitty
performance.

The ones I have heard good things about but know nothing when it comes to
their accessibility are the Lenovo k5,red me note 4? Or something.

Moto g5 and 5+ (yeah I know this is almost 17k but eh), moto g4 plus?

J5, although Samsung is one company I know to have issues.

Have you owned any of these? What have been your experiences like? Is there
another you'd suggest?

Thanks a bunch.

Re: [Mobile.AI] accessible game

2014-03-15 Thread john clayton
Hello there,
Here are a few that I know of. Keep in mind though that I don't use
android this is just a list of few games that I know to be accessible
from hearesay.
All games from Choiceofgames and the hosted games. they are basicly
gamebooks where you make different choices which affects the story of
the game. I'd highly recommend these for their awesome plot for those
who enjoy gamebooks.
Then there is crazy bat. Look at dragonapps.org for more info. in
breaf,Its flappy bird in audio
These are the ones I can remember of the top of my head right now.
I'll post as and when I think of any more.
HTH

[Mobile.AI] answers was re:IPhone home key and

2014-03-10 Thread john clayton
Hi,
Lets answer a few questions people have been having trouble with.
if you'd like to get to the dictation button directly, its located to
the left of the spacebar just as a alt key would be on a standard
qwerty keyboard for the pc's
You can also, if you have activated an edit field double tap to start
dictation and do the same again to end it.
There isn't a way to lock the screen without pressing the lock button
as far as I am aware, but than again I could be wrong.
If you are in an app there is no way to go to the home screen either
without the home button, but if you are on a different page,a 3 finger
swipe from left to right or right to left will move you from one page
to the other.
To those who don't get the face anouncement in the camra app on IOS,
make sure that the screen brightness is above 30%,the screen curtain
is off and that you are actually aiming right.
If it doesn't work from IOS7 to IOS7.06, updateing to the latest
version IOS7.1 which came out yesterday would be the way to fix it.

Re: [Mobile.AI] starting with my new iPhone?

2013-06-06 Thread john clayton
if the IPhone hasn't been fiddled with after it is taken out of the
box and turned on,tripple tapping the home button does start VO[ voice
over]
Accessible out of the box, hence it is said to be.
I am using a ipad mini and a IPhone 5 right now,and I haven't needed
any sighted help at all to set it up,restore, etc.

Re: [Mobile.AI] starting with my new iPhone?

2013-06-03 Thread john clayton
Hello there.
As a few people have said, you don't need a sim inserted to activate voiceover.
A computer isn't needed,either. if the device hasn't been setuped as I
see it hasn't been from your mail, tripple tap the home button to start
voiceover.
However,to complete the setup,you do need a sim card,which shouldn't
be a big problem. go to any nearby store which sells sim cards and
such, and they ought to be able to cut your sim into a micro sim.
Have fun with your new IPhone, its a pretty good device, and the apps
you can get for it should make your life much easyer. TapTap See,for
one as it is able to recognise indian currency.and if you are into
games and such, there are many that can be found on applevis.
Its a good resource for IOS users,as well.
