Re: [Mobile.AI] Wanting to buy Iphone 6

2015-12-14 Thread sagar sagar
Hey Mohib.
The six and the 6S have few differences first the processor both of the
devices are running 64-bit architecture. 6 is running A8 ChipSet64Bit.
6s A9 littil faster than previous. 64-bit architecture same platform.
The camera is improved on the iPhone 6s 12 megapixel back camera front five
megapixel.
2 GB RAM on the iPhone 6s.
Second-generation touch ID. On the iPhone 6s.
3-D touch iPhone 6s.
IPhone 6 1 GB RAM eight megapixel camera 1.2 megapixel front camera.
The rest is same The design is same. Aluminium is improved on the iPhone 6s.
Basically the latest is the greatest however being said, if you can afford it,
it's well and good otherwise, go for the more memory with the iPhone 6.
Hope that helps.

[Mobile.AI] iOS 9.2 update.

2015-12-08 Thread sagar sagar

Hi everyone, hope all are doing well, thought this might be of interest, see
below.

Apple released IOS 9.2
Whats new and bugs fixed for blind and visually impaired users
On VoiceOver

Accessibility Bugs Believed to be Fixed in iOS 9.2
1.This release appears to have resolved a number of connectivity issues with
Bluetooth devices. For example, turning VoiceOver on/off whilst connected to a
Bluetooth device appears to no longer cause that device to be disconnected; and
after putting a Braille display into Airplane mode and turning Bluetooth back
on, displays now auto-connect as they should.
2.VoiceOver now again announces the time when you press the Power button to
wake your device.
3.Sending audio iMessages is once again completely accessible.
4.Problems with the Raise To Speak feature appear to have been resolved.
5.Owners of the iPhone 6s or 6s Plus can now use 3D Touch on the left of the
Home Screen to open the App Switcher.
6.Using the VoiceOver Actions Rotor on a Contact icon on the Proactive Search
screen will no longer occasionally result in the information from another
contact being used/shown.
7.The occasional crashes in the News app when using the ‘Say All’ gesture
appear to have been fixed.
8.The Search field in the Mail app is now back to being treated by VoiceOver as
a single element.
9.The 3 finger swipe once again works reliably for moving between pages within
Home screen folders.
10.There is no longer an extraneous audio tone when using the 3-finger swipe in
the Notifications Center.
11.There is no longer a missing button label when viewing downloads in progress
in the Music app.

Accessibility Bugs Introduced in iOS 9.2

At the time of posting, we are unaware of any new bugs being introduced in this
release.

Other Changes

The focus of this release appears to be on under-the-hood fixes and performance
enhancements, as there are few outward-facing changes.

If you use a Content Blocker, you may appreciate that a long-hold on the Reload
button in Safari now offers an option to view the current page without the
Content Blocker. Previously, this would only offer the option to request the
Desktop version of the website.

This release also rolls-out support for AT's new NumberSync service, which
enables AT users to receive calls to their phone numbers on Macs and iPads
even when those devices are not on the same Wi-Fi network as the iPhone.

Arabic speakers in our community will be pleased to learn that this update also
includes the addition of Arabic language support with Siri for the first time.

iOS 9.2 is available via Over-the-Air Update (Settings> General> Software
Update) or from iTunes on the Mac or PC. As always, we would encourage you to
make a backup before installing this update.

2015-12-08 Thread sagar sagar

Hi everyone, thought this might be of interest, see below.

Apple has today released watchOS 2.1 for the Apple Watch. This update brings
bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements, as well as language support for
Arabic, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Malay, Portuguese, and Vietnamese.

According to AppleInsider, this release includes:

Adds ability to switch between Latin and Hindi numerals for Arabic
Adds a new complication for Islamic and Hebrew calendars
Adds support for Siri and dictation in Arabic (Saudi Arabia, United Arab
Emirates)
Adds support for dictation in English (Malaysia), Czech, Greek, Hebrew,
Hungarian, Portuguese (Portugal) and Vietnamese
Resolves an issue that could prevent events from updating in the Calendar
complication
Fixes an issue that could prevent the time from displaying in Power Reserve mode
Addresses issues that could prevent third-party apps from launching
Fixes an issue that could prevent third-party app icons from displaying
correctly
Fixes an issue that could cause instability when changing the system language
As this release did not have an external beta cycle, we do not know at this
time if it includes any accessibility-related changes or fixes. So, if you
encounter any, do please let us know by adding a comment.

watchOS 2.1 can be downloaded by opening the Apple Watch app on your iPhone,

Re: [Mobile.AI] Android Update vs Talkback Update

2015-11-03 Thread sagar sagar

Hello there,
surely, I'll be happy to help, by default talkback updates automatically
however it is optional you can change that behaviour so you'll be able to
update yourself.
Do the following to make the changes open play store after that search for
talk back after that selected then click options and uncheck auto update. Or
else in the play store find settings and then uncheck update all apps
automatically.
Hope this helps, feel free to get back if you require anything else.
TakeCare.

[Mobile.AI] IOS 9.1 released.

2015-10-21 Thread sagar sagar

Hi everyone, hope all are doing well, kindly see below.
Apple Releases iOS 9.1 with New Features, Enhancements and Some Bug Fixes for
Blind and Low Vision Users

Accessibility Bugs Fixed in iOS 9.1

•In the Mail app, VoiceOver now states the actual number of messages in a
grouped conversation rather than saying “multiple messages”.
•Audio now returns to the correct level after being interrupted by VoiceOver
when audio ducking is enabled
•Fixed the problem where VoiceOver behaviour appeared to indicate that it was
not possible to enter text into some webpage text fields (such as the Search
fields on the AppleVis and BookShare websites).
•VoiceOver sound effects no longer randomly disappear.
•Switching VoiceOver voices in Settings > General > Accessibility > VoiceOver >
Speech > Default Dialect now behaves as expected (the only situation where
voices may not switch automatically are when you have limited storage space
available on your device or poor internet connectivity).

Accessibility Bugs Introduced in iOS 9.1
•Using the VoiceOver Actions Rotor on a Contact icon on the Proactive Search
screen will occasionally result in the information from another contact being
used/shown.
•VoiceOver may not always automatically announce the time when you press the
Power button to wake your device.

Other Changes

Support For New Hardware

This release will put in place support for the soon to be released iPad Pro and
fourth-generation Apple TV.

More Emojis

iOS 9.1 adds support for Unicode 8, which means that you will now have a number
of new emojis to choose from. These include new emojis for sports, weather,
animals and foods, and the selection of new smilies includes upside-down face,
money-mouth face, nerd, rolling eyes, hug, and thinker. If that weren’t enough,
you can now give people the middle finger emoji.

iOS 9.1 is available via Over-the-Air Update (Settings> General> Software
Update) or from iTunes on the Mac or PC. As always, we would encourage you to
make a backup before installing this update.

2015-10-10 Thread sagar sagar
Hi Vamshi.
What he means is, keep your finger on the screen and move it around without
lifting instead of flicking. That should help you out. Like explore by touch.
It is a bug I have reported this bug to the Whatsapp support team.

Basically the issue is,

It's losing focus.

It's not able to keep up with voice over.

hope this helps.

Re: [Mobile.AI] IOS9 Update: Phone App freezing

2015-10-04 Thread sagar sagar
Hello,
Very odd behaviour, have not seen this behaviour,
perhaps try resetting the phone hold the power button and home button together
for 10 seconds that should resolve your issue,

Note this will not remove any data, it is a hard reset without effecting your
personal data. Do that every once in awhile if you have issues.
This is my recommendation for every iOS users.
Hope this helps.

2015-09-18 Thread sagar sagar
Hello there,
android is still usable however I have played with both of the operating
systems.
the conclusion is iOS for accessibility. If you really want to save money then
go for android. Otherwise iOS will be a good choice.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

In iOS8, you can write braille on your iOS device, similar to apps

available anywhere you have a keyboard. No switching apps and pasting
text, you simply use braille instead of the on-screen keyboard. If you

 in iOS8 here.

few caveats you need to know about. Note that I assume you are already
familiar with braille, and the basic VoiceOver gestures of swiping with
one or more fingers and double tapping to activate items.

 Setting It Up
 Enabling Braille Screen Input
When you first get iOS8, braille will not be available by default. You can
easily enable it, though: open the Settings app, go to General, then
Accessibility, then VoiceOver, then Rotor. Find the Braille screen input
option and double tap to select it (if it is already selected for some
reason, simply leave it alone). In the initial release of iOS8, this
option is the very last one in the list. Once it is selected, you are set
to start using braille input. Please note that moving this item around in
your rotor will not affect its position, as it always appears to the right
of whichever rotor item you are currently on. This makes it quick to
switch to so you can starthtyping without needing to move through a bunch
 of rotor items first.

 Setting Your Default Code
To choose the default braille table, contracted status, or 8 dot braille
(iPad only), follow the below steps. Remember that you can change the code
in use with a three-finger swipe right or left while you are using the
on-screen braille keyboard; these instructions are to set the code used
when you first switch to braille.

Open Settings, then go to General, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Braille (note
that this is not the Braille option in the rotor)
Find the Braille Screen Input button, which will have the currently
selected code after it. Double tap this button.
You are now in a screen where all the available input codes are presented.
Choose from uncontracted 6 dot braille, uncontracted 8 dot braille
(iPad only), or contracted braille, then activate the Back button.
Now that you've set your default input type, make sure the translation
table is correct. I am in the United States, so I can't speak to how this
will work in other locales. Here, we have both UEB, U.S. English (what
many call Grade II), or UK English for contracted braille tables. The
default seems to be UEB, what iOS calls English (Unified), which I
prefer. Many people don't know UEB, though, and will want to change to a
different option. Fortunately, doing so is simple. Note that this will set
 the braille translation

as far as my understanding is concerned what I gathered from your previous

 Hey everyone,
kindly see this useful article taken from AppleVis.

 hope this helps.

In iOS8, you can write braille on your iOS device, similar to apps like
MBraille or Braille Touch. The difference is that this is global,
available anywhere you have a keyboard. No switching apps and pasting
text, you simply use braille instead of the on-screen keyboard. If you
prefer to listen, you can hear an audio demonstration of braille input
 in iOS8 here.
 http://www.applevis.com/podcast/episodes/new-ios-8-braille-screen-input
While this new braille input system is a wonderful feature, it does have
a few caveats you need to know about. Note that I assume you are already
familiar with braille, and the basic VoiceOver gestures of swiping with
one or more fingers and double tapping to activate items.

 Setting It Up
 Enabling Braille Screen Input
When you first get iOS8, braille will not be available by default. You
can easily enable it, though: open the Settings app, go to General, then
Accessibility, then VoiceOver, then Rotor. Find the Braille screen
input option and double tap to select it (if it is already selected for
some reason, simply leave it alone). In the initial release of iOS8,
this option is the very last one in the list. Once it is selected, you
are set to start using braille input. Please note that moving this item
around in your rotor will not affect its position, as it always appears
to the right of whichever rotor item you are currently on. This makes it
quick to switch to so you can starthtyping without needing to move
through a bunch of rotor items first.

 Setting Your Default Code
To choose the default braille table, contracted status, or 8 dot braille

Using the on-screen keyboard it does not give you the feedback also. You hear

To choose the default braille table, contracted status, or 8 dot braille

use with a three-finger swipe right or left while you are using the on-screen
braille keyboard; these instructions are to set the code used when you first
 switch to braille.

Open Settings, then go to General, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Braille (note
that this is not the Braille option in the rotor) Find the Braille Screen
Input button, which will have the currently selected code after it. Double
 tap this button.
You are now in a screen where all the available input codes are presented.
Choose from uncontracted 6 dot braille, uncontracted 8 dot braille (iPad
only), or contracted braille, then activate the Back button.
Now that you've set your default input type, make sure the translation table
is correct. I am in the United States, so I can't speak to how this will work
in other locales. Here, we have both UEB, U.S. English (what many call Grade
II), or UK English for contracted braille tables. The default seems to be
UEB, what iOS calls English (Unified), which I prefer. Many people don't
know UEB, though, and will want to change to a different option. Fortunately,
doing so is simple. Note that this will set the braille translation table,
which is not changed with the three-finger swipe gesture like
contracted/uncontracted braille is. In other words, you can turn contractions
on or off at any time, but the table used to interpret your contractions will
remain set until you decide to change it by following the below steps.

From VoiceOver's braille settings screen (see the previous section on setting
your input code), choose Braille Translation.
The resulting screen lists all the available codes for your region. Simply
double tap the one you want, and you're done.
 Typing Feedback
Setting the amount of feedback you hear while typing braille is done the same
way you'd set feedback for on-screen or bluetooth keyboards. Unfortunately,
there is no setting for braille input only.

From VoiceOver's settings screen, choose Typing Feedback.
Under the Software Keyboards heading, select the amount of feedback you
want. Again, this affects both braille input

The method for transfering contacts from Nokia to IPhone is as follows..

 1. copy the contact folder from nokia phone
 2. open your computer c drive and paste the folder here.
 3. now rename the folder to (vcard) and close the c drive.
 4. open command prompt by typing cmd in start menu in windows 7 and in
windows xp xtart menu then run and then type cmd and press enter
 5. here type cd space c:\vcard and press enter
 6. here you are in c drive and vcard directory. now type copy space *.vcf
 space all.vcf and press enter.
 7. now again open c drive and go into vcard folder here u will find a
contact named all. let suppose you had 200 contacts in this folder but
now u have 201 contacts . find contact name all and e mail it to
 yourself.
 8. open that e mail in your i phone and open that attachment here you
will find murge contact option doubble tab on it and copy all of your
 contacts in your i phone.

Re: [Mobile.AI] call decline option on iPhone

2015-08-13 Thread sagar sagar
Hello
Vamshi.
No worries, I'll be glad to help,
The reason why you don't see the decline button when you get a phone call on
your iPhone, because your screen might have been locked that's why it's does
not show the decline button in order to decline the call while the screen is
locked kindly do the following press The power button twice quickly and it wil
decline the call.
You should get the except button everywhere if it is a normal phone call but if
it is a third party app usually you have to open the notification.
Hope this helps if you need anything else, feel free to get in touch.

No worries. We will be happy to help,
There are two different ways to enable voicever
First you can triple click the home button,
Second you can tell Siri to turn on voiceover
Third last option, connect your phone to iTunes using the cable provided, find
accessibility and check voiceover.

Hope this helps.

Re: [Mobile.AI] seeking for suggestion whether to buy i phone/ android phone

2015-06-28 Thread sagar sagar
Hey Shreyas.
According to me I thought you already tried an android phone Sony right?
iOS is the best platform. In terms of accessibility.
So my suggestion would be to go for an iOS device. I'm mean iPhone.
How was your experience with android?

Sincerely,
Sagar

 Hello,

I would just like to state that iOS is not necessarily better than Android.

As an assistive technology consultant dealing with clients with varying
abilities, I have seen the iPhone doing wonders for some but, also not
 working for everyone.

Not all people are the same; so please keep that in mind. Apple is not
the end all and be all of all mobile assistive technology in the galaxy.

 Thanks for reading.

and I am really not looking at iOS VS Android comparison. I am very well

accessibility features in a touch phone and Android is surely not at par with
iOS on that front but there are other reasons as well which make Android much

Hi there!
Il be glad to help!
The difference between the 5C and the 5 5S is 5C and the five has lower
processor it's based on 32 bit architecture,
however 5s. would be a better choice because it's based on 64-bit
architecture.
5C has a plastic body also.
In my opinion 5s,
would be a better choice. As far as the accessibility is concerned everything
is same it doesn't matter which one you purchase.
I hope that helps.

Hey Bamshi.
Thanks for your message will be glad to help.
First whatsapp has a bug,
when you're reading messages let's say you have 50 messages in one
conversation it will take you to the top of the screen.
Because the cursor cannot keep up.
The trick is to put one finger on the middle of the screen and then move it
down down down without lifting
As if your exploring the screen with explore by touch.
Second behaviour cannot be changed.
I hope that helps.
If you require anything else feel free to message.

refreshed every time there is a new message? Is there a way out?

Second, can we avoid voice over announcing message from XYZ while
