Re: [Mobile.AI] Android update

2017-03-16 Thread Sunil Sangtani.
hi.
i'm using moto g4 plus, I did not find any change in answering calls.
just drag your 2fingers left to right together in the bottom area a
little upwards to the fingerprint sencer and it works.
battery is also working as expected.

How do we handle the change in answering calls? I've heard locating
the slider and swiping right with one finger doesn't work with
Talkback in Android latest build? The Google help section in this
regard also is not updated it seems! Also, is there any increase in
battery drain?

Some inputs based on actual experience may be of great help!

Hi,

Assuming that I understood your query right, I would like to put it this way:
With each OS update, there is generally an updated version of Talkback but it
doesn’t install automatically as a prerequisite of System updates. However,
when you go to playstore>MyApps, the new version of talkback is listed there in
the list of apps to be updated. Further, if you use Wifi, and have set your
apps to be updated automatically, the Talkback too, would update as and when a
new version is there. Furthermore, you may get Talkback updates in between the
year also and one should not think that the Talkback updates are issued along
the system updates only.

With best regards,
Satguru

Subject: [Mobile.AI] Android Update vs Talkback Update

Dear list members,

As a non-Android user, I want to know whether Talkback automatically
updates with each Android OS update, Or does one need to update it
separately?

I understand that Talkback comes preinstalled in Android OS phones.
But unlike, say, Voiceover, it is also separately available on Google
Playstore. Hence my curiosity.

Thanking in anticipation,

Re: [Mobile.AI] Android Update vs Talkback Update

2015-11-03 Thread Mahesh S. Panicker
Hello Viraj,
There are some fundamental differences between IOS and Android when it
comes to updates. Other than the Google Nexus phones of recent years,
no other android phone is guaranteed to get an automatic android
update unlike the iPhones from Apple. Usually the high end phones from
major manufacturers, as well as the Moto lines of devices from
Motorola get the Android OS updates when after they are made available
by Google.
As for TalkBack, it is like any other apps on Google play in many
sense. The development is not strictly dependent on OS
versions/updates. TalkBack gets updated time and again, and is usually
compatible with earlier Android versions as well, though some of the
versions would work only with the more recent versions of Android.
Usually, along with an OS update, there would be a TalkBack update
released as well, it is not integrated with the OS updates usually,
but would automatically update itself if you have your phone set to
automatic update, or else you can update it manually from Playstore.
Hope this helps.
Best,

[Mobile.AI] Android Update vs Talkback Update

2015-11-03 Thread Viraj Kafle
Dear list members,

As a non-Android user, I want to know whether Talkback automatically
updates with each Android OS update, Or does one need to update it
 separately?

I understand that Talkback comes preinstalled in Android OS phones.
But unlike, say, Voiceover, it is also separately available on Google
 Playstore. Hence my curiosity.

 Thanking in anticipation,

Hello there,
surely, I'll be happy to help, by default talkback updates automatically
however it is optional you can change that behaviour so you'll be able to
update yourself.
Do the following to make the changes open play store after that search for
talk back after that selected then click options and uncheck auto update. Or
else in the play store find settings and then uncheck update all apps
automatically.
Hope this helps, feel free to get back if you require anything else.
TakeCare.

Hi sir,

Really not sure what’s causing the trouble, but ever since I’ve updated that MM
A1 to MM6, the OK google works without any hitch with latest Talkback. Just in
case, see if you have turned off “Focus Speech Audio” under Talkback settings.

With best regards,
Satguru
