Re: Failed indexing of SDL-2.542 (latest non-dev release)
Hi On 09/05/14 09:26, Kartik Thakore wrote: Hey Guys, Whats the conflict? Tobias whatcha wanna release? Your package includes SDL::Cdrom and his has a SDL::CDROM. It just means Kartik beat you to it, re the case-insensitive name SDL::Cdrom/CDROM. There are 2 things you can do: o Change your SDL::CDROM to something like SDL::Device::*. o Change your whole distro to SDL5::* or whatever. The first one is what I would do. I don't recommend asking or expecting Kartik to change his code, since: o He was here first. o Old copies of his code and yours could still cause a problem even if he or you changed the name of your modules by fiddling the case. Please don't do that. Cheers -- Ron Savage savage.net.au -- Ron Savage savage.net.au

Term::EditLine
Dear PAUSE admin, I'd like to adopt Term::EditLine. I forked the code onto GitHub and did some basic maintenance on the distribution and sent the author a polite message requesting either enhancements or that he allow me to adopt the module. I am attaching his response, which came back pretty quickly indicating his intention to give me ownership of the module. He said he needed to recover his PAUSE password. I haven't heard back from the original owner since, and I've sent two polite follow ups since to check if he needed any assistance. I assume that he is busy with other things and hasn't been able to do it. I read the FAQ but I didn't make a public announcement since that seemed primarily for contacting the original author which I have already done. On your advice I can try that as well, but I am hoping we can short circuit that since I believe that the original author has given his blessing on my adopting the module. Thanks, I appreicate your attention in this mater. Graham / plicease Re: perl module Term::EditLine.eml Description: application/extension-eml
