I think there is one simple reason: With shops, bars, and restaurants closed in
wide parts of the world and no holiday trips in sight either, many people have
a lot of extra cash to spend. Many of them are working from their home office
right now, and no commuting means more extra time to spend. And with the kids
going on your nerve all day long, online shopping might deliver a much needed
self-gratification. Well, that was three simple reasons...
Plus, many new collectors may have the false impression that buying at auction
sort of guarantees a 'fair market price'. In cases like a rare and desirable
Tarantino poster, this might even be true. If you are bidding against another
newbie, it's not. Last not least, people are lazy. Ooops, that five simple
reasons now.

Given that those can be bought online for a lot less, as has been the case with
quite a number sold at auction recently, it leaves me perplexed as to what is
going here.

People either get caught up in the bidding or are just too lazy to look at
other venues, like Fleabay. Or both.

[MOPO] FA: You have one more day left where you can view ALL of our current 2,624 auctions in a single gallery!

*Are you one of those people who say you forget which weeks our auctions

where you can view ALL of our current 2,624 auctions in a single gallery at
https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/all.html
, which is especially
valuable if you want to search ALL of the current 2,624 auctions at once
for a star, genre, size or whatever!*

Ending on the 2nd at *https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/13.html
* you will find a great
selection of smaller posters, that fit in so many areas on your walls that
larger posters don't, and they are often way less expensive to purchase, to
ship, and to frame!

Ending on the 4th at *https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html
* is our 35th "all-signed"
auction, and it contains a really excellent selection of personally
autographed items of every kind, including some really special ones from
stars we have never (or rarely) auctioned signed items before!

And ending on the 7th at *https://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html
* is a really wonderful
array of VERY unusual larger posters and memorabilia that either ships in
long tubes, very large flat packages, or in boxes, and I KNOW there are
tons of cool items included you have never seen before.
