Dear Tom,I know you feel uncomfortable about having the piece out of your hands but I'd trust Freeman with my best pieces anytime. He has been more than trustworthy with me and is simply one of the good guys. All my best and hope you get the situation realized soon.Take care.Joe BonelliTom Martin [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Thanks everyone for all the great deas... Im feeling like theres some hope. I put it on ebay as Freean and several others needed data that I just dont think will ever surface like whios it was. and if thats neededits a wash as far as value I offered opening Bid on ebay at 7500.00 for the Emmy and Oscar. and felt that this would inpire peopelI had several ask if I would sell direct but I just wanted to do the fair honest thing. But I am fighting because I think the acade!

saying it may be bogus as a ploy.. I guess they dont want to validate it as then it would be saleable. I just didnt think it fair to suggest it was stolen or bootlegged But I guess they needed to do whatever they could to stop the sale... I called the atty and he hasnt retrned my call or email..i guess busy with the awards.allof youhave offerd great Ideas.. and once ive thought it over maybe we can get a positive solution for all.. Freeman here,
As Tom knows I was investigating his Oscar for several weeks

Tom - I'm conflicted here. I'm not sure you should 'donate' it the Academy, particularly under pressure. Next, the studios will want collectors to 'donate' their posters back to the studios.

On the other hand, I can't figure out why you wouldn't want to have it authenticated by Freeman, that scalawag and rascal, and very, very honorable guy. I would think it would have been in your interest to allow that.

I totally agree here. Freeman Fisher is as honorable as they
come. I have no qualms in sending him thousands of dollars at a time
whether it be cash or posters (and I have done this many times).

This talkreally needsan authentication and a visit to one's
accountant.

Get Freeman to check it out. You
were told its authentic, you dont know that it is.

Maybe Rudy Franchi knows someone who would
be able to provide a second opinion as to authenticity.

Are you ABSOLUTELY sure it wasnt
passed from cousin to cousin within your family?
