The VHS tape is on Amazon for $345.

thinking that it was a DVD.  She requested a return, which, of course, I agreed 
to, but then we got into a discussion about whether a DVD even existed.   It’s 
curious that window cards often look like DVD covers, the same general 
proportions.  We have had several window cards returned.  Some we have even 
edited the listing to say "This is not a DVD."

There was a VHS release for THE OSCAR in 1985 from Embassy Home
Entertainment (now defunct) which can probably be found in used condition
somewhere.

 

New Line Home Video owns those rights now and you might check their website
to see if it is available in any form currently.
