[MLO] Duplicate Task for all Contexts?
I am not sure if this is the best way to handle things, but it works for me. If you can suggest something that will make my life easier, please do so. I set up each of my clients as a Context so I can filter on tasks by Client. Sometimes I have a task which needs to be done for several, or all, clients. When I do, I create the task and then duplicate it multiple times and update the context accordingly for each. It would be great if I could just duplicate it automatically for selected contexts. I know I can attach multiple contexts to a task, but by doing so, I can't complete the task for an individual context. That is, I can't mark the task complete for the client. Thanks. [MLO] Custom Views?
I am using the cloud sync and have defined a few custom views. Do I need to export and then import EACH view? Anyone know when views will be able to be synced via cloud? Thanks. [MLO] View by Context with Folders?
I have set up all my Clients as Contexts. (I looked at using a Text Tag but not sure that would work as well, or easily. A custom field would be so nice right now.) I created 3 folders; To-Do, Recurring, Someday. I put a couple of tasks in each of the folders, each with a different context. I created a new view of "By Client" with a "Group By" of Context. I don't see what I expect, I get a first grouping of "Context: (none)" with each folder appearing there - I do not get any grouping by Context; unless I add a task outside of a folder. If I select the "Active by Context" view, I can clearly see them all here, properly grouped. I do not understand why I cannot see each Context with a set of Folders under it so to have: - Context 1 - To-Do - Task - Recurring - Someday - Task - Context 2 - To-Do - Task - Recurring - Task - Someday I want a way to see a list of tasks by Client grouped by Folder. Perhaps I am using the wrong hierarchy? Thanks. Gary -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MyLifeOrganized" group. [MLO] Re: Syncing Views and Workspaces between platforms
I just subscribed to the cloud sync and my expectation was that it would sync my views as well. Quite frustrating to find out that it doesn't. I can understand why it may not sync them to a different platform (like Android), but at the very least if I am syncing two Windows devices (Desktop to laptop) it should do that correctly and should pull in my Custom views. If anyone has a way to do that, I'd be pleased to hear as I haven't figured out how to do it. Thanks. [MLO] Re: Custom Views from PC to Android
So you are saying that the Android version supports custom views but they are not synchronized? I would then say that the information on the website is misleading. My expectation would be that if it supports custom views they they should be able to sync up. I don't understand what you mean by: "To transfer your custom view from PC to Android, you need to export your view on the PC, then transfer the exported file to Android Device and import into MLO app from there." Once I transfer it, will it stay there and get updated when the sync happens or do I need to transfer it each time? Thanks. [MLO] Custom Views from PC to Android
I just purchased the Cloud Sync service so I can more easily sync up my devices. I have MLO 2.10 installed on my tablet and 4.4.4 on my desktop. I have several custom views on my desktop and just did my first sync and I cannot see any of those views on my Android device. Are they not supposed to Sync over? Also, I am disappointed that the colors do not transfer over. Am I missing something in my set-up? Thanks.
