[MLO] Cloud sync: data in the cloud stored in encrypted format..

2019-02-16 Thread 'george' via MyLifeOrganized
Is the data stored in the cloud encrypted? Meaning, is there a possibility
that somebody(so called malicious actor) could release all my data with the
attachments and notes and all that in a readable format out into the wild
where somebody can
see it on a website or make it available to download? I know anything is
possible but what is the realistic scenario?.

Hope this question makes sense ( i am not much of a techie or programmer).

Thanks.

Think if you play around with the selection tab under the tree format you

[MLO] Re: Feature Request: Subtasks NOT required to inherit parent's context & start date

2019-02-09 Thread 'george' via MyLifeOrganized
Has there been any progress on this feature request...

This is one enhancement that will really make me upgrade to version 5 .
Doesn't mean that the other additions and enhancements are not worth the
upgrade but the "inherit parent date" thing is a massive pain. Every time
I make a task, I have to go and uncheck the box. Not fun.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. I hope Andrey would add a Dark Mode to the application
with an update so that it is native.

There could even be one dark mode built in and additional dark themes (i
guess) for purchase. Like a theme marketplace. Guess it is WindowtTop till
then.

[MLO] Dark theme/dark mode for the Windows version

2019-01-15 Thread 'george' via MyLifeOrganized
Hi,

Is there a fully dark theme/dark mode available?

I know I can create new theme to change font color, background etc but what
I am looking for is a fully dark mode application like the Windows 10 file
explorer in dark mode.
View/Outline sidebar, properties panel, tab bar, Menu bar etc in dark mode.

The whole application in dark mode. Please..

Thanks.

Actually this seem to work

new task -s2/2/17at10am -d 2/2/17at2pm rmd 9am

<https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3R2_-DXFzmE/WI-Q9W20oHI/AHg/IK6zLvYGjgghSpfWxGGlhvyWQPf8VXnxACLcB/s1600/parsing%2Bresult%2B1.PNG>

So it seems like space before *-d *seem to be the key element here. if
there is space before both -s and -d then dates seem to get messed up.
Either way guess the parsing need to be smoothed out.

Thanks Ray & Stéph

In this input parsing string everything works(start date and time and end
date and time) except the reminder. I want the reminder 10 before due at

*new task -s1/30/17at8am -d1/30/17at9:30am rmd10min*

What is the error in this entry?

Thanks!

Re: [MLO] Re: How to do the quickest and simplest Navigation and marking with arrows??

2017-01-18 Thread george
Hi Benny,

so select 3 (or whatever number) non consecutive tasks with keyboard.

I don't know to do it and I would also like to know if there is a way.

I would love to get more keyboard navigation (like Shift + F10 right click)
in MLO also.

Having said that, MLO is the most keyboard friendly compared to apps like
Todoist, Wunderlist etc and hope it stays that way.

Autohotkey can probably come to the rescue is my guess.

Best!

[MLO] Re: google calendar integration

2017-01-04 Thread George Carter
Todoist has an ICS URL you can subscribe to. Doit used to but now has
direct integration. Zendone has it, Remember The Milk, Trello, Wrike, etc,
etc, etc

MLO is an island of data and the only thing that has me bouncing around
trying other solutions. If I get this, I'll be a lifetime user!

[MLO] Re: Currently I see no future in MLO

2016-08-11 Thread george
Good discussion.

Have tried a few of these new ones (Todoist,Wunderlist.. etc.) and the
amount of mouse clicks it takes to get stuff done is no fun.

Request to MLO team: No matter which way things go please
keep/maintain/upgrade the stand alone desktop Windows client with the
keyboard shortcuts. Add more keyboard shortcuts for right click and
creating recurrence etc.

It takes a while to set up and tweak MLO with all the details and
hierarchies but MLO on one screen and Freeplane /Xmind on another and
things are pretty good.

Thanks.

Hi, Dwight

Thanks for the tip about the template. Hotkey is possible for Create new

(Please do move this to a new topic so as to keep "keyboard access to
recurrence" as a separate topic. Sorry, forgot about the guidelines..

[MLO] Re: Accessing Recurrence dialog box (using keyboard)

2016-08-07 Thread george
Hi pottster,

Alt+d only opens up the Time & Remainder properties section activating the
Due date field. Still can't open up recurrence link from there without
clicking on "Recurrence" using mouse. Tabbing won't jump to recurrence
either.
Could there be something missing from my set up? I tried on two different
test files. same result.

(BTW, I wish there was a way to save a bunch of different task properties
as a macro and apply it to any task with a single hotkey. It would be nice
to have a set number (10 or so) of such macro slots just like we have
bookmarks now
and It would save a lot of time without having to click through the
different fields in the properties sections)

Thanks.

[MLO] Re: Feature Request: FreeMind read/write compatibility

2016-02-04 Thread george
I have tried the password manager Codebook from Zetetic. Seems like a small
org may be somewhat comparable to MLO. The way they interact with
users/potential users is really nice. Devs and the top guy all contribute
on their products forum. There are pictures of the team. It is rather
refreshing and welcoming. Website is neat and uncomplicated.

I was also surprised by the $25 price tag for V2. Once worked for an org
where our unsaid motto was "we make it hard for people to buy our awesome
product". At least that is what we thought it was based on how the
company operated.
Looks like MLO is not interested in volume.

It would be great to export directly Freeplane/Freemind.

[MLO] Re: Ability to psuh notification to Fitbit,Apple Watch,..smart watches ?

2016-01-03 Thread george
Btw, MS Band 2 can display reminder (via MS Health app on Android)
notification from MLO 2. But it is a bit flaky. Sometimes it misses.

Band 2 can display notifications from all Apps from what I can see. Just
there is no way to dismiss or snooze or take any action on the band.

MS Band is pretty great but its clasp/buckle mechanism makes it hard to
wear (ymmv) continuously so it is on its way back.

Re: [MLO] Copy tool does not work while editing the caption of a task on the task list.

2016-01-01 Thread george
Apparently still has the problem (same as R Penzo)

Here is what I just did. 1) Cleared the clipboard. 2)double tapped task to
activate cursor on a task caption 3)long pressed and selected text within
copy handles 4)tapped copy button 5)hit the plus sign for new task 6)long
pressed to invoke paste
button/action. Paste did not show up. Nothing to paste.

Kitkat 4.4.2 . MLO v2, 2.0.16

(Name updated to George like from Seinfeld) Serenity now.

Re: [MLO] Copy tool does not work while editing the caption of a task on the task list.

2016-01-01 Thread george
It is the same Android (4.4.2 kitkat) version. Same phone. Note 3

After I saw the initial posts tried it on my phone and replicated the issue
hence my first post in the thread. After posting I tried the " tried
copy/paste on a different field. long press existing task >tapped 3 dots>
copy text in Title field>pasted it in inbox for a new task. It worked so
copy/paste worked in that instance.. Then I went back to the task caption
and tried copy/paste operation and it worked. I tried multiple times with
different task captions.

But I still think there is some problem with copy/paste based on what I
just experienced. MLO Clipboard does not seem to be clearing at the moment.
I tried few different copy/paste of task captions but I am getting one of
the first caption I copied every time I try to copy/ paste. I even
restarted the phone hoping it will clear the clipboard but it still has
that one old caption/text string in the memory. Any where in MLO I try to
paste still the same caption/text string is getting pasted.

This seem to be an MLO issue in this instance from what I can see because I
opened a text editor (jota) typed some text, copy/pasted within Jota and it
is working (no text from MLO is showing up). It is getting complicated to
test..

I am on V2 version 2.016

(Changed name to George like from Seinfeld). Serenity now.

[MLO] Re: Time-specific tasks not showing up in Todo list

2009-04-02 Thread george . reschke

The start and due date/time, for example, are both set for 3PM today.
It doesn't show up on the active list. I think I realized that it
won't show up until 3PM (since it's not active yet - duh!). Even if
I set up a filter to show all items for today it won't show up on
the list until the start time hits.

I guess the way around this is to set the start time earlier for when
I want it to show up on the list. So, if I have something due today
at 3PM and want to print a list of things to do today but it's only
8AM, I'd better have the start time for that 3PM task set for a time
before 8AM.

Assuming I understand correctly, that makes sense. I just tried it
and that does the trick.
