[MLO] Re: Winter, Holidays and War in Ukraine

2023-01-07 Thread Erin Thompson
MLO is one of the best programs I have ever used.
Thank you for it.
To justice and peace!

[MLO] How to save a task created from an item shared with MLO directly into subfolder of Inbox?

2023-01-07 Thread Erin Thompson
Per title, I am looking to save a message that I captured from my SMS
application (Android phone) as a task in MLO, and save it directly to a
subfolder of the Inbox.
What steps must I take?

Thank you,
Erin

[MLO] Re: How to save a task created from an item shared with MLO directly into subfolder of Inbox?

2023-01-08 Thread Erin Thompson
To be clear, when working on my Android mobile phone, I want to import a
new entry to MLO from an outside application ("sharing" it to MLO), and
directly save the task to a folder other than the root of the inbox.

Re: [MLO] Re: How to save a task created from an item shared with MLO directly into subfolder of Inbox?

2023-01-08 Thread Erin Thompson

Thank you for the input, Leigh. Much appreciated!

I have used the "new task via email" method, but that also seems to only
enable creation of a task in the Inbox root folder. My aim is to create a
new task into a subfolder and bypass the root Inbox altogether.

Your suggested method of copying source text and then launching MLO and
creating a task from the copied text does allow me to specify a subfolder
of my choosing.
But because I have to first copy the source material and then explicitly
launch MLO, and then paste the text into the notes field of the task (and
finally give it a title, if the copied text itself is not serving as the
title) it involves extra steps to store the task where I want it.

I think MLO simply lacks the ability to efficiently process content
*shared* into it (on the Android platform), in the manner I'm looking
for. I know that standard GTD involves capturing items into the inbox as
the first step, but the process I'm evolving seeks to eliminated that
step as a requirement.

Erin,

I tried to replicate what you wanted but couldn't do it directly. I was
able to copy the text message, switch to MLO and create a new task and
paste it in. It's cumbersome but works just not simple like what you're
looking for. Have you tried sending the message to yourself via the MLO
email address?

[MLO] MLO & Google calendar sync between Android devices only

2022-12-17 Thread Erin Thompson
I use MLO on both my Android mobile phone, and my Android tablet. Is there
no way to achieve two-way sync with Google calendar when strictly using
Android devices? I am trying to create MLO tasks within the app and have
them appear on my Google calendar on my devices.

Is there a way to change these default settings? I'd like weeks to be

[MLO] Re: [REQUEST] [ANDROID] TOOLBAR SETTING > Allow full customization of toolbar items

Good points. I would also prefer that the toolbar remained visible at all
times on Android screens.

[MLO] keyboard obscures navigation

2023-12-25 Thread Erin Thompson
Hello: using MLO on Android, I notice that after a new task is entered, the
Google keyboard remained popped up, and requires that I back out from it in
order to see the action buttons/navigation options. This is inefficient and
frustrating. Is there a way to keep the bottom navigation buttons on-screen
even when the keyboard is shown?
Thank you!
