Re: [neonixie-l] Re: New nixie power supply released - NCH8200HV

2023-01-31 Thread
Hi, Thank you for reaching me, NCH8200HV has been sold over 10Kpcs during
the last five years, and many users in this group I believe. Here's a
professional and detailed review from Kevin, a professional engineer at
Microsoft, he did a great job making a nixie clock and detailed tested my
NCH6100HV and NCH8200HV modules.
https://0x7d.com/2017/nixie-tube-clock/#Nixie_Power_Supply
I believe NCH8200HV is a good choice for the Nixie project, small, compact,
has lower input voltage, and high efficiency, any issues please feel free
to contact me.

Hi Nick, I have never seen any Chinese Nixie tubes doped with Hg, I am also
curious why, maybe it's limited by the level of technology at that time in
China.

[neonixie-l] Re: 16 IN-18 tubes hooked up to ONE nixie power NCH6300HV

2020-11-01 Thread
I don't have any experience with driving in the multiplexed mode for
nixies, but I think you don't need 300v for that, just lower the anode
resistor then you will get higher brightness for dynamic scanning.
There's a precise potentiometer on the board, you will get 100-230v output
can be used for most Nixie applications, that would require some other kind
of power module if you need 300V output or more, no power module can meet
all application requirements ;)

[neonixie-l] Re: New nixie power supply released - NCH8200HV

2019-09-05 Thread
Sorry to hear that, can you share some pictures of the one you got?
There're few sellers on eBay are using my pictures but deliver the fake
one, I always using blue PCB board with gold plated and high-quality parts,
that transformer is customized after so many tests.
I'm not sure what will happen using the fake one, hope it will work well,
you should get the refund if it works not good!

Please check these two items, one is in my eBay store, another is in my
partner's store located in Silicon Valley CA:

Hi Roddy,

Only two sellers on eBay:

• omnixie (for USA)
https://www.ebay.com/str/berkeleyeshop

• nixietubeclock (for all countries except USA)
https://www.ebay.com/str/nixietubeclock

you can find my NCH6100HV and NCH8200HV power supply in these two stores.

Please pay attention that there are a lot of counterfeit ones on the
market. Those are poor quality, and have fire hazards.

Thanks.

[neonixie-l] Re: 'Omnixie' Smart Wifi Nixie Clock released

2018-03-15 Thread

Yes you're right, same solution with NCH8200HV for power supply module,
height of transformer is 5mm max, pcb board thickness is 1mm, this's the
thickest part, check picture attached. Actually I have another choice for
make it thinner with 4mm transformer, but it seem to be nosence compared to
5mm.
My first version is only designed for fly pins nixie tubes with tube PCB
adapter, I never thought my last version will compatible with NL-5441 and
NL-841 tubes, still 6mm base, the end of tube pins almost touch the bottom
pcb board.

[neonixie-l] 'Omnixie' Smart Wifi Nixie Clock released

2018-03-13 Thread
Dear all,

Six years have past since my last Nixie Clock released, today I finished my
new Nixie project 'Omnixie', a smart Wifi Nixie Clock.

Omnixie powered by USB power supply, compatible with 6 types of
19mm-diameter Nixie tubes at the moment, the wooden frame thickness is only
6mm, will compatible with dozens of different types of Nixie tubes in the
future, all fly pins Nixie tubes installed adapters with gold plated
connectors ensure stable and reliable connection with easy tube
replacement. This time I designed the aluminum alloy panel with carbon gray
anodizing, 600 mesh drawing process and high light edge processing, and the
middle frame is made of nature wood, there're three types of wood: *Bamboo,
beech and Ebony*.

Wifi synchronization and web configuration are the innovaton of this
design, users can access the Omnixie dashboard to configuration of all the
Omnixie features through any we browser, including iPhone, Android, Mac or
PC, the setting interface is clearly even don't need the user manual, just
like use an APP on the phone to configure it, including *WIFI parameter
settings, NTP settings, system status, general settings, display settings,
alarm settings and firmware upgrade.*

Support talking clock with four languages in English, Chinese Mandarin,
Japanese and German, can trigger talking clock in any time by press the
button on IR remote, also can be set to talking clock automatically at
regular intervals.

8 brightness levels for the Nixie tubes and back lights, which can also be
automatically adjusted according to ambient light conditions to allow sleep
at night.

Please don't fall for the fake one, this seller use my pictures but copy my
NCH6100HV power supply with low quality components and wrong parameter.
My NCH6100HV use high quality components(TDK inductor. nichicon high
voltage capacitor... ) with gold-plated PCB board, customized connectors
with different color, fake one use only gray one...
They print my brand logo and my URL on the board, but they never know

2017-10-13 Thread
Hi Bob, yes it's easy to accessing the pin of SHDN, Pin 10 of chip is SHDN,
when it's low all IC functions are shut down, a logic high will start it.
Now, I connected pin10 to Vin, power module will always on, you can cut the
copper tracking between Pin9 and Pin10, then bring it out, please check the
picture attached.
Any problem please let me know.

Re: [neonixie-l] Re: Divergence Meter, new design with NL-5440A/IN-14/IN-8-2, battery powered.

2016-05-14 Thread

I'd like to provide kit, but the assembly process is a little complicated,
I built some tools and fixture to keep the board flat since the top plate a
little bend, it made from CEM-1 because the surface color and glossiness
are match the original design in Steins;Gate. I list No. 69 on ebay just
now ;)

Hi Nick, yes I'd like to sell them without tubes, I prepared hundreds of
stainless steel case and PCBs, they need good home as well ;)
I will assembly some of them and list them on ebay soon.

Re: [neonixie-l] All digits display pictures of 42 kinds of different Nixie Tubes.

2015-12-31 Thread
Hi Paolo, yes I know B5092 but i have no chance to get one for collection,
if you can take some pictures that will be good.
I'm planning to take some pictures of Top View Tubes, will share that with
you all when it's finished.

About that small board, that's so easy to make, only one micro-controller
and one IR receiver, ten 33K resistors, ten A42 transistors, you can check
my blog for reference, same as my first QS30-1 nixie project, but don't
need HC595, I/O pins of MCU connect to resistors
directly: http://www.nixieclock.org/?p=36

[neonixie-l] Re: All digits display pictures of 42 kinds of different Nixie Tubes.

2015-12-31 Thread
Hi guys, I'm preparing high res pics now, resolution should be 1x1500
JPEG format, will let you know when it's finished.
It's a little difficult to take these photos, especially it's hard to
highlighting of the edge of glass tube, I use two light boxes and two light
screens, and a flash lamp for front lighting.
Another important equipment is camera remote controller, this will hold the
same shooting range for each digits, tube and camera must not have the
slightest move.
Camera and lens is important ofcourse, but Canon 5D Mark II with EF 100mm

[neonixie-l] Re: All digits display pictures of 42 kinds of different Nixie Tubes.

2015-12-31 Thread
Hi Ron, please check the details of the board, I didn't draw the schematic,
it's too simple for this application, software is simple as well, when I
press button 0 of IR remote, MCU will pull-up Pin0 and pull-down other 11
outputs, then number 0 of nixie tube will display.

I have a Yan Zeyuan clock. I dearly love the circuit board where the

How many displays in stock now? and how much is it?

Digging in my storage I have found a few 4 digits panaplex

 (
I am not selling it, just for display picture purpose only)

I am designing 4 digits clock on it and thinking if I have to order only
a few proper PCBs or would try to make my home made ones.
So If somebody else have this display and willing to make 4 digits clocks
on it, I can go for proper PCBs and order a little bit more PCBs than I
 need.

Please let me know if you would be interested in PCB or clock kit...

As this display has + sign I am planning to add function to display
internal or external temperature on it too.

 Best wishes, Konstantin

Hi Michel, thank you, that's a VFD clock put in front of the nixie clock ;-)
They're two works of mine, you can check them here:

Enjoy it and happy new year!!!

Beautiful clock! Is that VFD part of the clock or did you just put it in
front of it for the time being? Love the idea!

Happy new year from down under!

 Cheers,
 Michel

Thank You Yan for posting this! Really nice photos! I am happy the
clock survived the journey from Czech rep. to China - I was a bit
afraid of cracking the glass as I dont anneal it properly yet.

By the way, your power supply is one of the few things I havent any
problems at all during all my work on those tubes. And I must say that
 I put a load on it ;-)
