Dear Allen
Happy 80th birthday, both numbers in this celebration are near perfection, one
is related to infinity and the other is about connecting all the stories
together, the - and the + of the same number get created and than meet in the
perfect 0.
Thank you for being an incredible force of inspiration…. And indeed for having
a great stamina…
Much love

Re: [NetBehaviour] Round table discussion on performance in and with the digital space

2020-02-17 Thread Joumana Mourad
Dear All
I trust this finds you well!
I would to invite you digitally or virtually to our round discussion.

Open Online Theatre is hosting the second in a series of round table
discussions about dance and performing arts created in and with the digital
space.
It will be at: Siobhan Davies Dance on 2/3/20, 13:45 for a 2pm start.
Refreshments provided, and subject to permissions we will create a podcast.
Some topics we plan to cover:
What is the artist/curator response to the mainstream presentation of live arts?
What are the new and future models of monetisation offered by technology's
interaction with performing arts? Can direct monetisation compromise artist
integrity?
How are performance venues to be approached about digital work?
Our first round table was attended by Rob La Frenais, Kwesi Johnson, Deej
Fabyc, Max Fedyk, Pepa Ubera, Joumana Mourad and Danielle Imara. We are so far
expecting attendance from Rob La Frenais, Marc Antoine and Andrew Hurst, One
Dance UK.
Please let us know if you can make it. Thanks!

Re: [NetBehaviour] Saturday 7th, Distant Feeling(s) #7 - join us

2019-12-04 Thread Joumana Mourad
Dear Annie and everyone on this group, next week IJAD is leading a round table
discussion around Performances in the Digital space, can I use some of your
work so we can talk about it?
On the other hand if anyone in London is interested we have 2 more spaces.

Kindest
This round table is looking at bringing the performing arts communities,
(dance, circus, parkour, theatre, musicals, etc..)together to stimulate debate
in an area which has increasing relevance and provides increasing opportunity
for audience reach and engagement.

Open Online Theatre invites forward-thinking performing artists, producers and
journalists to join 1 or all 3 round table discussions about the impacts of
live digital performance on practice, and how it re-configures audience
engagement and monetisation of work. We seek people with a demonstrable
interest in the above questions, as part of the development of an upcoming
evaluation stage where artists gain training and opportunities to live stream
work.

Those selected will be given the equivalent of a month’s live streaming on a
dedicated channel.
Please send your application to he...@ijaddancecompany.com with Round Table
Application and your name in the subject line.

Date: 10 December 2019 – 14:00 to 16:30
Further round tables in February and April 2020
