You'll need to delete the cookie (iconbar>Open>Sjow cookies...) then quit and reload Netsurf.. Now you should be able to type www.google.co.uk into the URL bar and get the default page back. It is rather annoying when you make that mistake isn't it? On a PC the iGoogle page can contain lots of useful information which you can personalise but I'm afraid not in Netsurf for a while now (it used to get my special theme background but that doesn't work any more). With NetSurf r12640 (RISC OS 5.16) I've just gone to http://www.google.co.uk/ which has rendered perfectly. Am I doing something wrong? :-) Mind you, I don't use Google as my home page; I use www.bbc.co.uk is this significant? With best wishes, Peter. -- Peter \ / zfc Lu \ Prestbury, Cheltenham, Glos. What am I not understanding? I suspect that there was a default link to Google which made a small donation to NetSurf each time it was used, but which I long-ago dispensed with in favour of the standard Google homepage. It's (if I'm right) only people who have never changed their choices who are affected. That is my understanding. It may be wrong! John

Aah yes, we're looking at whether we can justify sneaking a new version out to stop that -- it's the search type which lets us gather microdonations via google adverts which appears to be javascript-dependent now. For now, I'd just set my homepage to google.co.uk if that's what you want. D. -- Daniel Silverstone http://www.netsurf-browser.org/ PGP mail accepted and encouraged.Key Id: 3CCE BABE 206C 3B69
