Oooh, I didn't know you could do that!

Does r11090 sort the wierd things?

Seems fine on r11105: though Shift-arrow seems to have stopped doing
word-forward/word-backward cursor movement. But I assume this again is
because these are no longer 'real' desktop icons and the WIMP key
shortcuts are no longer automatically implemented

Michael, i wish I could properly tell you how much this development

At the moment you can't change it. It was changed when I intended to
revamp the entire look of treeviews anyway, and someone said they couldn't
see the white icons on white recently. I've not got round to changing the
treeview style because I got mired in improving the existing code first.

There's the mockup for how treeviews might look:

http://www.netsurf-browser.org/temp/treeview/

It uses NetSurf blue livery much like directory listings for file: URLs.

I mentioned it because someone here is sight compromised and there isn't
enough contrast between the text and the background.

Visual problems of course vary. Since I now have great trouble with a
white background, the blue was an improvement. However, ideally we
might be able to choose our own; for me, white on black is best.

But use the latest build, because there have been other fixes to treeview

I'm not sure this was true: I think it depended on where the mouse ended up
relative to the active text area. If it was outside, Shift/ Ctrl/ Alt would
close the edit.

But use the latest build, because there have been other fixes to treeview

Definitely still weird things happening here (rr11053) - but only when
the address is 'expanded'. Ditto previous version - I didn't notice
because I always did have it expanded, since I was trying to restore my
hotlist to more meaningful titles and hence wanted to see the actual
URLs before editing...
