Ups, I apologize for that...

I'm running FedoraCore5 which comes with NetworkManager 0.6.0. I
compiled and installed NetworkManager 0.6.2 today and it was not
working for me ok. He didn't wanted to connect to my wired LAN
network. So I put the old 0.6.0 on from Fedora.

My problem is that I accidentally clicked Remove in 0.6.2 version, so
the icon dissapeared from notification area. Now I'm on 0.6.0 back and
the icon is still not there.

How can I put the icon back in notification area ?

Thanks

On my FC5 box, I have an entry under System-Preferences-More
Preferences-Sessions-Startup Programs.

The entry is nm-applet --sm-disable

Hope this helps,
Jon.

The applet should be auto-launched for you, since it has a .desktop file
in /usr/share/gnome/autostart/. If for some reason it's not being
started (which we should figure out), then run:

/usr/bin/nm-applet --sm-disable

This is odd though; you do have the
file /usr/share/gnome/autostart/nm-applet.desktop, right?

You accidentally clicked Removed and then you accidentally answered Yes.

gnome-session-properties should allow you to reenable the service.

Otherwise, do `rm ~/.config/autostart/nm-applet.desktop`.
