And SC is much faster ... I'm also using Sylpheed (like I'm doing just now for *this* list ;), but for my needs I found both client have something good and something less good... [newbie] Gnome Themes Selector
I just installed Gnome 2.0 through Mandrake Cooker; all seems gone smooth, but only default theme is shown... I do have gtk-themes installed, but they're not listed in the selection box: is just a little bug or something changed, since Gnome 1.4? Smiley Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft? Hello, I own an Epson Stylus Photo 810, connected via USB; my OS is LM 8.2: when I try to print both an image or even a simple text file, the printer starts but at a certain point it stops (half first page of a three pages document, the last try); I heard, but don't remember where, I'm not the only one with this kind of trouble... I'd like to understand what's happened exactly and whay *now* /dev/shm is listed... The problem I'm having is that I can't locate any of the models that are listed at www.mostang.com as linux-compatible. They seem to be older models and no longer in the stores or listed on manufacturer's web sites. ( I should say that I haven't paid much attention to anything over $150.) Can anyone point me in the right direction? would prefer an Epson. By the way, someone on this list told me that a friend used an Epson 1250u with linux, but on www.mostang.com, the 1250 is singled out as not working with sane. Anyone know the deal with that? [newbie] Initio SCSI card
I have been trying very hard to get Mandrake 6.0 to see my Initio 9100 SCSI card. Has anyone gotten this to work? I have tried the disks for Red Hat 6.0 at the Initio site. I have tried doing a modprove and adding it to my /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit file. I have also tried adding the alias command to my conf.modules file. All of these have not worked. With the Red Hat disks it saw the SCSI card and the drive, but I get a kernel panic when I try to load it. I think that has to do with going from Red Hat to Mandrake. If anyone has any ideas on this can you please let me know because I really need to have this drive running ASAP. Thanks for reading!
