Yea, Prince could bang out some serious funky-soul-blues on any of the
subjects you mentioned. Any of our starring female lushes, LL, PH, NR, or
BS would be great material ('Only put their initials because they get more
than enough publicity as it is!) Picking up any tabloid or newswire story
would do...they're so many to select! How to get more PR bang Hollywood
style... song lyrics? Intoxicated Ladies Feed Appetites That Like it
Shady. Yes, it's been a long day, I'm buggin'.

Some great points have been made. Prince's music today is certainly
not the quality it was in the past, and he surely can use some creative
inspiration. The recent stuff is average. I still love him for his
outrageousness, and believe he'll find the muse he needs. Let's just
consider this era of his music a bit of down time for his Royal Badness.
His live appearances and performances still kick have stood the test of
time. Peace.

Moderator: you know Prince already has a wealth of personal experinces to
sing about but he doesn't choose to for some reason. He could sing about
stuff like:

1. get divorced for the 2nd time and legal proceedings
2. Moviestar friends and drug use
or my favorite
3. It's hard to find clothin' my size and I'm a dude.

I think these are all things we could all be associate with. You know

You know, this is a brilliant point. A Muse. A LOT of artists we love need
new muses. It's like when Stevie Wonder had Syreeta around, his work was
incredible! Nowadays, we get What The Fuss.

I wonder, though, is Prince's best muse himself or us? His live shows are
hands down great, and that's been pretty consistent for 30 years. It's the
RECORDED work that seems to vary in quality. Maybe he needs to record all
of his future albums live?

Moderator: The lack of a good muse would explain the less the weak lyric
righting, because he has definitely had some good musicians around [expect

think that Prince is missing a muse, someone or something to inspire him
or spark him creatively. But we all know he has it in him to do better,
or even dust off some of the jams out of his vault that haven't been
released or bootlegged. Shoot, even do

If his efforts are as jacked up as his grammar, maybe there's his clue to

Yeah, it's pretty amateur. The strobe effect was a bit annoying. The
corset...well, we all know he loves to poke at traditional fashion. Made me
think of...Madonna-esque brashness. I could definitely go for some less
expensive concerts. I'm laughing my head off at the commentaries. Thanks

RE: NPNY: Oh Lord! Here we go! Even when Prince is being good!

2007-02-09 Thread june . morris
I caught an article on BlackAmericaWeb.com (BAW) discussing the
industry critics comments...haters! (they make me laugh) It was absolutely
the best half-time Superbowl performance ever, and I'm glad BAW emphasized
most people felt that way.

A very conservative and religious co-worker commented she enjoyed
Prince's half-time show glancing at a photo near my desk, and I almost fell
out of my chair. His Royal Badness represented as usual! Some haters just
have to find (or make up) some flaw or another. Prince delivered the goods!
...especially considering the brief amount of time he had to do it.

You know, i caught a link of this article on hiphopdx.com and thought the
same
thing. It's ridiculous but you all should know that Prince will NEVER be
rid
of ignorant industry heads...especially media critics. Oh well... i doubt
anything will come of it because despite this so-called contraversy, WAY
too
many people consider this entire performance one of the best if not THE
best
halftime performance during a Super Bowl.
