[NSWolves] Re: Mid table Wolves [sec=unclassified]

2009-08-18 Thread Steven Millward
Some good points there Lee.

I had a feed as well in the second half but it fell over after a few
minutes.

Keogh is being hailed as the new Torres. I'm delighted for him.

Was Milijas injured or just tired?

Seems to me like Mick said to himself "The reason I did so bad with
Sunderland in the Prem is we lacked pace and stamina. Next time I'll build
a side that can run around all day at pace"

It seems to have worked. 451 is clearly good for us as we can boss
midfield. I can't believe the Times is describing Wolves as having a "calm
coutner-attacking style." Who would ever have thought we'd be described
like that.

I'd like to see Doyle on the wing when he comes back to give us possession
but also an attacking threat, especially away. With Keogh's energy we
effectively have six in midfield then.

Great confidence boost to get an away win early on. We shouldn't be
frightened of anyone now. I can't wait for Saturday night.

I don't know anything about Spray. He must be doing a job in training. He
had been hastily added to the Wolves website senior players list and had no
bio.

[NSWolves] Mid table Wolves [sec=unclassified]

2009-08-18 Thread Morris, Lee SGT
Well well well...I cannot believe we aren't all talking about that
fantastic win.

I got up extra early this morning (partly so I could follow the game)
downloaded my emails and low and behold someone had posted a link to a
live feed (did you get in time Rog?)

The first half coverage was very good but it kept cutting out in the
second half so I followed the game via sportinglife.

I thought we looked very good in patches, Halford made a couple of
mistakes and Milijas gave the ball away a couple of times but Wigan were
unable to capitalize.

Again Keogh was outstanding as were the Wolves fans behind the goal, I
could not hear the Wigan fans at all.

Karl Henry is a revelation, I thought he looked good in Perth but he's
really adapting well, his simple no nonsense game is working a treat.
Mancienne was much better than on Saturday and his speed gets us out of
trouble and counter attacking very quickly.

One thing I've noticed is our defenders quite often get turned inside
out by the bouncing ball, time and time again I'm seeing opposition
players getting the better of us after the ball has bounced...is this
something that can be rectified in training or are they struggling to
read the ball?

A great performance which followed some promise against West Ham, the
fact that we have so many players unavailable I feel quite confident
that we may just be ok when / IF they all return from injury.

Incidentally we had a 16 year old striker on the bench (Spray), does
anyone know anything about him

I too am smiling - especially as I'm off to a meeting with an Everton
supporter who has been giving me grief.

What a brilliant result!

Clean sheet.
First away win in the top flight since 1984.
First goal.
451 formation does us well away

I am over the moon.

Interesting. Keogh up front BY HIMSELF scores the winner.

What do you make of that Rog?

2009/8/18 Rog & Rita

Humour has returned to MM and on a grand scale.

Thought there'd be only one tool on there who'd suggest putting Keogh up
front BY HIMSELF but no, there are quite a few.

Reminds me of the QPR game many moons ago when McGhoo (was it?) played
Corica up front by himself.

With our injuries we may have to get Corica back, at least he can score
occasionally now.

There's a bloke on this list who really could have embarrassed himself
further.
He saw that Keogh was $12 to be first goal scorer.
He laughed so much that he never got round to posting the news on here.
