We now, officially, have promotion in our own hands.

A win on Saturday would really steady the nerves. Someone else is bound
drop points.

Cardiff are the only dark horse now. That's the first game in hand gone
and two points dropped by the Taffs. Up to fourth now, with three games
in hand (max 9 points) but 11 points behind us.

I think Brum will be more concerned by Cardiff, but they will be a big
threat until they drop more points in those games in hand.

Yes, but it's the same line that managers say
towards the end of the Premiership season. They're 12 points and 25
goals behind the team in 17th place with four games to go. Gary Newbon
says "How will you and the team adapt to lower league football?" and the
manager says "I'm not thinking about it as it's still mathematically
possible for us to stay up".

I expect us to get around eight wins
from our last twelve games. I can't see Cardiff getting twelve wins
from 16.

2009/2/25 Nick Curtis

four 1-0 wins will but them 2 goals
behind wolves. so two 1-0 wins and two 2-0 wins will have them on the
same goal difference. so if they win 3 of their games by more than 1
goal, they go above us.

2009-02-24 Thread Steven Millward
Yes, but it's the same line that managers say towards the end of the
Premiership season. They're 12 points and 25 goals behind the team in 17th
place with four games to go. Gary Newbon says "How will you and the team
adapt to lower league football?" and the manager says "I'm not thinking
about it as it's still mathematically possible for us to stay up".

I'm supporting Marcus on this one.

Only 3 teams in the top 10 won at the weekend. Doesn't anyone want to get
promoted from this division. I guess the one positive is that at least SEB is
still scoring, whereas Reading haven't scored in 6 hours of football and Brum

Only 3 teams in the top 10 won at the weekend. Doesn't anyone want to get
promoted from this division. I guess the one positive is that at least SEB is
still scoring, whereas Reading haven't scored in 6 hours of football and Brum
seem to have lost all confidence. Let's hope the own goal means our luck is
changing.

Can someone with appropriate contacts in Wolverhampton please arrange for
someone to go and kneecap Keogh (maybe get a 2-for-1 special and do Collins at
the same time). How many open goals is that he's missed this season?

Reading V Brum on the last day. I hope we don't need a result one way or
t'other. I could see us being promoted the game before by some mathemical
delight.

I can't see Cardiff continuting the same form for the last 12 games. No
other tream has managed to hold form for so long.

Looking at those fixtures I reckon we may just do it.

I'm never sarky Steve ;-)

I reckon we'll get 13 points from March, as I reckon we'll draw against
Ipswich and lose one of the others (possibly Palace).

I reckon it's a good point for us. I thought you were being sarky when
you said about March being easy but it doesn't look too bad.

Plymouth 20th
Palace 14th
Wednesday 12th
Ipswich 10th
Charlton 24th
Forest 20th

How many points will we get from that? Twelve should be doable which is
back to two points a game.

So a good March, and we agree on something. Things are looking up.

A win against Plymouth this Saturday is a must.

Can't afford to be losing or drawing this type of game if we
want to go up.

Apparently Keogh was close to MOM for us from some reports.

Only 3 teams in the top 10 won at the weekend. Doesn't anyone
want to get promoted from this division. I guess the one positive is
that at least SEB is still scoring, whereas Reading haven't scored in 6
hours of football and Brum seem to have lost all confidence. Let's hope
the own goal means our luck is changing.

Can someone with appropriate contacts in Wolverhampton please
arrange for someone to go and kneecap Keogh (maybe get a 2-for-1 special
and do Collins at the same time). How many open goals is that he's
missed this season?
