spaces are always tricky ... in mkiv just omit the spaces (internally all

I agree that spaces are tricky, but XeTeX does require those spaces
for example\footnote{Yes, yes, I know what you wanted to repy about
XeTeX. I would rename the font as well, but on the other hand being
able to use the same definition for bothe engines is only a benefit.}.
As long as the syntax is clear:
[file:Some Name With Spaces]
this should be accepted in my opinion. If you store font names without
spaces and dashes in database, it might make sense to strip the name
in a similar manner here before trying to access the database and ask
it to give back the font.

It's just that nobody cares about tetex any more and nobody will provide support for tetex. But if you like it (for a reason - LaTeX hardly changes if you don't use XeTeX, TikZ etc.) it's perfectly fine if you configure it to use the most recent ConTeXt. So it seems, although there's also \setuptop and \setupbottom, that definetext doesn't accept top and bottom. Any idea why that's so (samewise for setuphead which doesn't accept top and bottom arguments either, according to the manual) ? If you want to use Asana, just copy the whole portion of cambria typescripts and search-and-replace-all from cambria to asana (or ask Hans politely to do that in core once he's back). I find it a miracle that it works at all :) Just joking. Greek inside math is not working properly yet due to duplication and slight confusion between greek (U+03XX) and math greek (U+1D6XX) ranges. Just the proper mapping is missing at the moment - the same kind of mapping that turns lowercase latin a into mathematical italic small a. also where exactly are the typescripts located and do you happen to have the Asana Math typescripts as well? :) You can find the typescript in $TEXMF/tex/context/base/type-xxx.tex Asana Math is not supported by default, the typescripts are missing. [NTG-context] question for the xml-experts
Hi all, this is not a question about direct technical details, but more of a conceptual problem, and I would love to have your input and ideas on this. I will be editing several edited volumes in my field (humanities, classics). From experience, I know that it's impossible to make scholars in the humanities adhere to standards. Each and every one of them will turn in a paper (most of them written in half a dozen different versions of Word) with its own idiosyncracies. At my last conference, I asked them to please use Unicode for their Greek passages, and I got blank looks and the question What the hell is Unicode? So: I want to extract the content of these papers and process it with ConTeXt. I thought the easiest route might be convert them to OpenOffice odt and then use the content.xml as a starting point. Since the formatting will be unusable anyways, it doesn't make sense to process the odt directly; instead, I want to transform the xml via xslt to a simplified format and then process that with ConTeXt. I have just discovered the tool xalan ( http://xml.apache.org/xalan-c/index.html ) which allows me to use an xslt style sheet and direct the output to a new file. I will then need to clean up these xml files and write a mkiv xml setup for them. So for those who know much more about this sort of workflow: does that make sense? Is there any better way to achieve these results, i.e., have the content of a couple of papers in Word and/or rtf format and typeset it in a consistent ConTeXt environment? Is there any tool better than xslt to convert the OpenOffice xml than xslt (anything in lua that can parse xml)? Anything better than xalan to convert xm - xml? Hi Thomas, process the odt directly; instead, I want to transform the xml via xslt to a simplified format and then process that with ConTeXt. I have just discovered the tool xalan ( http://xml.apache.org/xalan-c/index.html ) which allows me to use an xslt style sheet and direct the output to a new file. I will then need to clean up these xml files and write a mkiv xml setup for them. So for those who know much more about this sort of workflow: does that make sense? Yes, it does. At my company we clean up (and reorganize) XML data with XSLT all the time. We are happy users of saxon 9 (http://saxon.sourceforge.net/) which is an xslt 2.0 engine. Learning XSLT is not trivial (but not too hard either), but once you get an understanding of it nobody can stop you using XSLT for 'everything'. I had, in fact, tried the export functions (docbook and xhtml), but both drop too much formating: all italics etc. are silently dropped, and dynamical references are replaced with their values. So unless I can manage to hack the export xslt files, this doesn't seem possible. Don't use \startcolor[white] to change the color of the main text, use \setupcolors[state=start,textcolor=white] instead. That works. I got the code from http://www.tug.org/pracjourn/2006-2/schmitz/. I'll notify him about the problem. I had only looked at the error message and not at your example.
Passing tests to values is often a problem because you don't know
what happens in the internals and only only low level commands like
\iftrue, \ifdim ... works without problems.
The best you can do is to write:
\startmode[a]
\setuphead[chapter][header=chapter]
\stopmode
\startnotmode[a]
\setuphead[chapter][header=high]
\stopnotmode

I also would like to be able to choose a different font and/or fontsize
(\switchtobodyfont[...]), style and/or color (\color[...]) for chapter
pages' header area (margin/edge/text) and non-chapter pages.

Hi cecil, there is a manual on charts at: http://www.pragma-ade.nl/overview.htm In your case you need to setup the flowchart and indicate the number of cells per x an y direction. You can also manipulate the didstance between cells.
