[NTG-context] Numbering of sub-header
Dear all, I am using Mark IV from the minimals. I have a problem concerning the numbering fo my sub-header. I defined exercices in the following way : % Titres \setuphead[subject][textstyle={\bfc},align=left,after=\hairline] % Commandes \def\exnu#1{% \framed[width=1.5em,corner=06,background=color,backgroundcolor=myGray,foreground=color,foregroundcolor=white]{#1}% } \definehead[exercice][subsection] \setuphead[exercice][textstyle={\bf},numberstyle={},numbercommand=\exnu] A few months ago, when using Mark II, the numbering of exercice was continuous even if new sujects were introduced. But now, the numbering is reinitialized when I put a subject. Can I go back to the previous behaviour ? Sincerely, -- Flavien. Re: [NTG-context] Fonts loaded
Hello Hans, Thank you for --mode=*nofonts and detailed explanation. The mode works well and reduces font loading time from 2.281 to 1.266 seconds! Thankfully, Vyatcheslav - you can try --mode=*nofonts but keep in mind that this is meant for special cases where styles are loaded immediately on the command line - it will not save much time; eventually we will have opentype lm math anyway; and half of those fonts are small anyway - it will result in errors when you don't immediately load a typeface especially if spacing is being set up - you need a math font because some symbols come from math (like bullets) - delaying math setup would result in way more overhead as then it needs to be set up inside math (and then it happens grouped) - also, reported problems resulting from not having load a base font set are unlikely to be looked into - as i keep optimnizing code, i expect the reported times to drop a bit in the future; - a resident run might save some load time, but this is compensated by the need to reinitialize all subsystems (apart from a mess) - computers will become faster anyway and in most runs the startup time is small compared to the other runtime ___ If your question is of interest to others as well, please add an entry to the Wiki! maillist : ntg-context@ntg.nl / http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context webpage : http://www.pragma-ade.nl / http://tex.aanhet.net archive : https://foundry.supelec.fr/projects/contextrev/ wiki : http://contextgarden.net ___
Re: [NTG-context] metaobj and luatex 0.42.0
Hi Matthew, However, I've found that cleaning up your objects when you're done pretty much solves all my problems. For example, just add a clearObj line to your code makes it work for me: I've found that using save to declare the values as local also works. For example: \startMPinclusions input metaobj; \stopMPinclusions \starttext \startMPpage save a; newBox.a(\sometxt{hello world}); a.c = origin; drawObj(a); \stopMPpage \stoptext Perhaps this is even slightly more elegant. I condirmed that using MarkII of the minimals, numbering is continuous. Any hint ? 2009/9/23 Flavien Lambert petit.lep...@gmail.com Dear all, I am using Mark IV from the minimals. Re: [NTG-context] Another small caps problem with some fonts (and old-style figures)
Mika Ritola wrote: 2009/9/22 Wolfgang Schuster schuster.wolfg...@googlemail.com Am 22.09.2009 um 12:43 schrieb Mika Ritola: Hello again, I just discovered another weird problem with small caps when using some fonts, e.g. Adobe Jenson Pro or Adobe Garamond Pro. When old-style figures are enabled, the code below generates GEOff instead of GEOFF. Another ligature bug, it seems -- which is strange because I don't see why old-style figures should affect ligatures at all (not that I know anything about these things), and also because the second line should disable ligatures in small caps altogether. \definefontfeature[smallcaps][smallcaps][liga=no] Did it work with this redefinition of the smallcaps feature? \definefontfeature[smallcaps][smallcaps][mode=node] With \setfontfeature{oldstyle}, I don't seem to get any small caps at all in node mode. If I replace it with the line that you suggest below, small caps seem to work well regardless of mode. So, problem solved for me. Thanks! does \addfontfeaturetoset{oldstyle} work? Re: [NTG-context] MKIV on Mactex Texlive 2008 (Context broken)
Hans, No. I have Mactex texlive 2008 installed and I used the rsync directions on: http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Running_Mark_IV The result is I no longer have a functioning context installation. I will try installing the minimals, but I'd really like to get my Mactex installation correct and the directions on the above page correct. D. Re: [NTG-context] MKIV on Mactex Texlive 2008 (Context broken)
Hans, My impression from reading installation directions for minimals is that when you open a shell, and if you have your .bash_profile configured, that setuptex will be sourced. That must set some sort of path while the current shell is active? Will that interfere with needing to suddenly latex a file? D.
