A tiny, random hunch: zsh treats its built-in source command differently from its . command, and therefore sometimes one or the other works better. It's worth trying . ~/context/tex/setuptex when using zsh. the mechanism for how to share the numbering of enumerations seems to
have changed from mkii to mkiv. I used the following code to typeset
theorems and lemmata in mkii. The typeset is very different when
complied with mkiv: In the following code, for example, the lemma is
missing its number, and there is an additional line break after each
theorem title.

1. The name of the location key was changed to alternative (i.e.
alternative=serried).
2. To use the counter of another enumeration you need the counter key
(i.e. counter=theorem) but you can also make \lemma a copy of \theorem with
\defineenumeration[lemma][theroem][text=Lemma,…]
3. You don’t have to enable colors because MkIV enables them by default.
4. The name of the conversion key has changed to numberconversion.

[NTG-context] [***SPAM***] Joining two paragraphs
Hello,
how to join to paragraphs /lines, such that they are not broken on to pages?

\dorecurse{30}{First line.\\ Second line.\\}
\stoptext
You see that the last First line on the first page is alone, the
Second line comes on the next page, of course correct in this example.
I could join them now with \testpage[2], but is there another way,
without counting lines? And without invisible frames? Just like an
automatic testpage, which knows how many lines it must have.

Well, I experience the same issue with FreeSerif, LinLibertine0, Ezra
SIL and SBLHebrew.
But I’m not an expert here. I guess it might be a ConTeXt issue.
FreeSerif works but Linux Libertine doesn’t:
