[NTG-context] Re: Calling C code from ConTeXt LMTX
Thanks Bruce for your very helpful reply! The reason for my question was indeed consistency, e.g. ensuring figure captions stay up to date with what the figures show when changing parameters. Thinking more about it, the second solution you mention seems to be a better option, though - I can simply define the parameters in an external file and read it from both the PDF solver and ConTeXt to ensure consistency. Thanks for mentioning it! Thank you also for mentioning \executesystemcommand, which I was not aware of! Hans, hello. Since only kerns shows up in the OpenType features for TNR and Aptos. I wonder if it is like trep, which seems to be a context option for fonts. 2. What exactly does locl do if in tnr and aptos the option supports the latin script? (aptos also supports cyrl, and tnr also supports arab) 3. mode=node. I see that base is also an option in the settings sig page in context wiki, and ChatGPT told me node is the more 'complete', accurate, glyph based option that is typographically better, but takes more time to produce when used in a doc. For example, \warichuparameter\c!pointstyle --> Control sequence expected instead of undefined I've used "\warichuparameter\c!XXX" before, but it causes the error because there are some keys that are specifically named. Acrobat locks files when open - as such, you have to close your PDF before you run any process that modifies it (so true for all *TeX). It's one reason there is a tendency not to use Acrobat as the main previewer in TeX workflows. That said, some editors (WinEdt at least) will auto-close the PDF when starting a run for exactly this reason. In the following example only pagella uses the "trep" feature because modern was loaded before the settings was added to the default feature set. begin example \starttext \setupbodyfont[modern] a'b \definefontfeature [default] [default] [trep=yes] \setupbodyfont[pagella] a'b \stoptext end example To be on the save side create custom feature set where you add additional settings and apply these to your fonts. begin example \definefontfeature [MyFeatures] [default] [trep=yes] \definefontfamily [OldTimes] [rm] [Times New Roman] \definefontfamily [NewTimes] [rm] [Times New Roman] [features=MyFeatures] \starttext \setupbodyfont[OldTimes] a'b \setupbodyfont[NewTimes] a'b \stoptext end example I have dlig and trep on so that works with single quotations like don't have a directional quote, and so that I get the Times New Roman ligatures via dlig and not just liga. itlc is enabled since I read some documentation and they sometimes mention enabling it It shouldn't be necessary to add "itlc" anymore to get italic correction for \em etc. is there some stuff like the extrafeatures option or anything that you would recommend i enable? might there be options for extrakerns that would be seen as something that one should enable? also, how can I see all the options available? dlig is something I discovered by accident that was not in the options list in the documentation. Unless you know the effect of a feature you shouldn't add or enable it. You even have to know what is supported by the fonts in your document which can differ between certain versions of a font, take Times New Roman which is included with Windows as an example. 1. For a long time ligatures weren't supported by the font at all and the first mention of the support it is from 2022. 2. The font uses the "dlig" feature to enable the f ligatures even though the normal tag for it is "liga". My guess why they made this decision is backwards compatibility with existing document to avoid them from using these ligatures. 3. You shouldn't enable "dlig" by default for all fonts because the results of the feature can vastly for the fonts which provide it, take the following two fonts as example. begin example \definefontfeature [discretionary-ligatures] [dlig=yes] \starttext \startbuffer[pagella] \starttabulate[|||] \NC \type{} \EQ \NC\NR \NC \type{--} \EQ -- \NC\NR \NC \type{!`} \EQ !` \NC\NR \NC \type{!‘} \EQ !‘ \NC\NR \NC \type{?`} \EQ ?` \NC\NR \NC \type{?‘} \EQ ?‘ \NC\NR \NC \type{,,} \EQ ,, \NC\NR \NC \type{‘‘} \EQ ‘‘ \NC\NR \NC \type{’’} \EQ ’’ \NC\NR \NC \type{---} \EQ --- \NC\NR \stoptabulate \stopbuffer \setupbodyfont[pagella] \start \nohyphencollapsing \getbuffer[pagella] \stop \start \nohyphencollapsing \feature[+][discretionary-ligatures] \getbuffer[pagella] \stop \startbuffer[dejavuserif] \starttabulate[|||] \NC \type{ſt} \EQ ſt \NC\NR \NC \type{st} \EQ st \NC\NR \stoptabulate \stopbuffer \setupbodyfont[dejavu] \start \getbuffer[dejavuserif] \stop \start \feature[+][discretionary-ligatures] \getbuffer[dejavuserif] \stop \stoptext end example The only additional features which can be added without problems are "expansion" and "protrusion" because until you enable them with \setupalign nothing changes in your document. Felix schrieb am 01.09.2024 um 20:54: https://pastebin.com/TQdzmxeP I am trying to make a resume in ConTeXt (to see how well my skills have gotten, I am still quite a beginner) and Iw as able to produce what is in Pastebin. Your next lesson is to learn how to create a minimal example which contains only the necessary information needed to show the problem. Though, I am having trouble with the table that goes over the big sized text that would be my name. It has an email, a phone number, and an address but they are all aligned very weirdly. I want them to be centered. Though, the phone number has some sort of problem with alignment, and I don;t know fi the other ones are causing it or are also aligned wrong. I also wanted to make this code: \startxcell[topframe=on,bottomframe=on,align=flushright] Ability to communicate strongly and effectively, being a reliable team member, supporting a team whenever needed, and the desire to help everyone \stopxcell has it so that it doesn't take up so much horizontal space (Ideally it is taking up 1/3 of the width I am allowing for since there are three rows in total) , but when I add width={some value} into the square brackets, it will add a blank line after all the text, and this is not what I want. is there a way to fix what I am experiencing? I would also not mind if I could be told how to improve my code, whether it be by adding startxrowgroup, startxcellgroup, or head and footer sections., or other options. Thank you for reading. Your problem the usage of "option=stretch" to add filler space in the table cells. To calculate the space which is added in each cell context takes the widest text in each column to calculate the current width of the table and when table is narrower then the page it distributes the reaming spaces equally to all rows. This results in a different width for each row but another problem in your case is that context takes the long text in the first row (even though it spans three column) as value to compute the reaming space in the table. The fix for your case is to set a fixed width for all three column which ensures the text in the second column is centered. You can also simplify your setup by moving all settings at the start of the table and the only local change is needed for the merged cells. begin example \starttext % width=.33tw \startxtable[frame=off,topframe=on,bottomframe=on,width=.33tw,align=middle] \startxrow \startxcell[nx=3] contact information \stopxcell \stopxrow \startxrow \startxcell email \stopxcell \startxcell phone \stopxcell \startxcell address \stopxcell \stopxrow \stopxtable % option=stretch \startxtable[frame=off,topframe=on,bottomframe=on,option=stretch,align=middle] \startxrow \startxcell[nx=3] contact information \stopxcell \stopxrow \startxrow \startxcell email \stopxcell \startxcell phone \stopxcell \startxcell address \stopxcell \stopxrow \stopxtable \stoptext end example Wolfgang ___ If your question is of interest to others as well, please add an entry to the Wiki! maillist : ntg-context@ntg.nl / https://mailman.ntg.nl/mailman3/lists/ntg-context.ntg.nl webpage : https://www.pragma-ade.nl / https://context.aanhet.net (mirror) archive : https://github.com/contextgarden/context wiki : https://wiki.contextgarden.net ___

[NTG-context] index entry with sorting and processor
Hi again, the page number of register entries from a glossary should have a different color: \defineprocessor[glossar][color=green] \define[1]\GlIndex{\index[glossar->]{#1}} This works, but I’d like to apply a macro to the text, and then I need to set the sort order: \define[1]\GlIndex{\index[glossar->#1]{\Word{#1}}} This also works, but I get separate index entries from \index{Something} and \GlIndex{something} Glossary entries may be lowercase, but in the index I’d like to normalize to uppercase initials. (The index command is part of a lemma setup.) How can I combine the entries? I also tried \setregisterentry but didn’t find out how to use a processor for the page number. In the wiki, the (generally working) processor option is undocumented, so if there’s another option, it’s also missing. In the source, I found processors for entry & page, but not how to address the latter. And on the other hand, there might be notes that internally uses \framed and follow the "style" argument within a separately specified \setupmarginframed. Is it the style argument of \setupmargindata or \setupmarginframed or is it a good practice to _always_ specify \setupmarginframed with the same style argument as given to \setupmargindata? I have no idea what your question is but you should use \setupmarginframed only when the setup requires it, e.g. to change the alignment for blocks which use the framed mechanism. [NTG-context] placement of float captions in margin
Hi, I think this related to Gerion’s problem, but I don’t want to occupy the thread. I’m trying to get captions in the (inner) margin. With the setup below it works for left (even) pages; on right pages, the caption is placed beside the image, but over the text and not in the margin. (Yes, the big distance of image and caption is suboptimal, but leftfloats are worse, and the layout in question doesn’t have much space in the outer margin.) If I uncomment %command to use \margincaption, and comment location instead, the caption is correctly inside the inner margin, but the width is always that of the left margin, i.e. too small on left pages. I didn’t find a combination of options that completely works. [NTG-context] Re: context / auctex problem?
Thank you very much for sharing the configuration needed to compile with ConTeXt from Emacs. The standard AucTeX configuration does not allow to compile with the latest version of LMTX. And the information in AucTeX on how to change that is frankly deficient. To the point that I, who am an Emacs user for almost everything, when I write in ConTeXt I prefer to use Vim. Maybe on the Wiki, someone who knows how to configure AucTeX to work with ConTeX, could share the information. And I also think it would be a good idea to include there the definition and key bindings that Seyal Zavira has shared. In Emacs, I prefer use pure ConTeXt. I have attached my Emacs init file. This setup is so satisfying. You can compile your documents with just C-c c and view them with C-c v. [NTG-context] Pocket Diary Photo Calendar: how to specify on which day the week begins?
Hi, I am trying to use the Pocket Diary <https://ctan.org/pkg/context-pocketdiary> module to create a photo calendar as described in the Calendar Examples <https://ctan.org/pkg/context-calendar-examples>. The examples work fine. By default weeks begin on Monday. Does anyone know how to specify that weeks begin on Sunday? [NTG-context] Re: Prefix the text in an enumeration.
Gerion Entrup schrieb am 13.06.2024 um 13:41: Hi, is there a way to automatically prefix the text body in an enumeration? Consider this example: ``` \defineenumeration[question][ alternative=top, text=Question, title=yes, titleleft=, titleright=, right={:}, headstyle=bold, ] \starttext Some text: \startquestion[title={How long does a loop last?}] \bold{Answer:} For a while. \stopquestion \stoptext ``` I'd like to have the `\bold{Answer:}` automatically. So for example something like this: ``` \defineenumeration[question][ alternative=top, text=Question, title=yes, titleleft=, titleright=, right={:}, headstyle=bold, prefix={\bold{Answer:}}, ] \starttext Some text: \startquestion[title={How long does a loop last?}] For a while. \stopquestion \stoptext ``` I tried to misuse `inbetween` for that but `alternative=top` seems to make a (not modifiable space) between the heading and the text body. Use the \setupparagraphintro command to set the text which should appear at the start of the question. begin example \startsetups[question:intro] \setupparagraphintro[first][\bold{Answer:} ] \blank \stopsetups \defineenumeration[question][ alternative=top, text=Question, title=yes, titleleft=, titleright=, right={:}, headstyle=bold, inbetween=\setup{question:intro}, ] \starttext Some text: \startquestion[title={How long does a loop last?}] For a while. \stopquestion \stoptext end example Wolfgang ___ If your question is of interest to others as well, please add an entry to the Wiki! maillist : ntg-context@ntg.nl / https://mailman.ntg.nl/mailman3/lists/ntg-context.ntg.nl webpage : https://www.pragma-ade.nl / https://context.aanhet.net (mirror) archive : https://github.com/contextgarden/context wiki : https://wiki.contextgarden.net ___

Hi Christoph, as far as I know (and as Hraban has already mentioned), this is not possible. Either XSLT or pandoc would be a way to do that. That being said, I would avoid conversion (a second source) in all cases. I use ConTeXt to typeset XML sources typing Markdown sources. pandoc generates XML and then ConTeXt typesets these XML sources. > My Question is, is it possible to generate a second context file2.tex > with the help of this first xml-mapping file1.tex, where all the > xml-nodes from the xml file are mapped to contex commands which then > looks something like this: I‘m afraid this is not possible (it works in a different way) > I would then like to edit the Text in such a more "TeXish" result > manually, e.g. insert small spaces as in ‘St.\,Martin’, explain unknown > words in \footnote{comment}, etc. Different spaces are Unicode characters. So for > me, the main reason for having a TeX-ish file2.tex is, that the Text > could be corrected directly from the proofreader in this file2.tex file, > but won't do that in the xml file. I don’t mean the proofreader personally, but TeX code may not be inherenlty more readable that XML code. Compile the following: \starttext \startXML St.&nnbsp;Martin A comprehensive treatise The medieval part of the church \stopXML \startTEX \starttext \startchapter[title=St.\, Martin] \stopchapter \startsection[title=The medieval part of the church]\stopsection \stoptext \stopTEX \stoptext I think that a text editor with reasonable highlighting for XML is key to your issue. I mean, XML sources tend to be highlighted leaving pure text as uncolored and unformatted (no bold or italics). In that case, I think the text to be proofread may be recognized as not having any format at all (besides not enclosed inside "<" and ">"). > And now a second approach to my question: > Are all these \startxmlsetups like '\startxmlsetup xml:chapter' > internally mapped to standard context commands like \startchapter > ... \stopchapter before they are converted to pdf? No, these are formatting commands after the mapping. In short, there are three steps involved in XML typesetting. First, you select which elements you would like to select from the XML source in an XML setup (with a mapping to your configuration commands). Second, you register this XML setup. Third, your configure the selected elements with ConTeXt commands. Here is a sample (using a buffer instead of an external file): \startbuffer[demo] line 1 line 2 line 3 \stopbuffer \starttext \startxmlsetups abc:def \xmlsetsetup{#1}{foo|bar}{xyz:*} \stopxmlsetups \xmlregistersetup{abc:def} \startxmlsetups xyz:foo \xmlflush{#1} \stopxmlsetups \startxmlsetups xyz:bar \startparagraph \xmlflush{#1} \stopparagraph \stopxmlsetups \xmlprocessbuffer{main}{demo}{} \stoptext First of all, XML has no hardcoded names for any element (from a certain point of view, XML are only rules on how to use the "<>" tags). This is why, and are perfectly valid element names (although they have no meaning for people). Second, the mapping may use any name for destination setups. \xmlsetsetup does the mappings, the second group of parentheses contains the lpath (an Lua version of XPath [how XML is selected]) and the third group of parentheses is setups. The command \xmlsetsetup{#1}{foo|bar}{xyz:*} above is bound to existing elements (or paths) in the XML source, but both "xyz:foo" and "xzy:bar" may read as the user wants. Third, after that you need specify the setup for each mapping (or it won’t appear in your final document). The setup is what you defined as the second part of the mapping, may it be "xml:title" or "xyz:bar". Nothing here is hardcoded. XML is not HTML (elements with meaning). In order to deal with XML, ConTeXt has to provide the tools to select elements (and more complex constructs) and map them to configurable setups. How both tools (construct selection and setup configurations) may be deployed, this is up to each individual. Hardcoding this would be a real problem in the short run. > If this is the case, can this intermediate context representation be > exported, and how would this be done? I think that I understand command vs alternative now. With try and error, I experienced, that the font/style of the `style` parameter interleave in a strange way. Therefore I see it as related. What i mean is: Example 1 ``` \define[2]\MyChapter{% \bold This is bold #1 #2 } \setuphead[title, chapter][command=\MyChapter, style=\italic] \starttext \startchapter[title=foo] \stopchapter \stoptext ``` "This is bold" is bold, but "1" and "foo" are italic. The font size is normal. It seems, that "style" is just applied to "#1" and "#2" _before_ evaluating MyChapter. Example 2 ``` \define[2]\MyChapter{% \bold This is bold #1 #2 } % this should be the "default" style \setuphead[title, chapter][command=\MyChapter, style=\tfc] \starttext \startchapter[title=foo] \stopchapter \stoptext ``` "This is bold" is bold, "1" and "2" are normal, but the whole font size is bigger. It seems, that "style" is applied partially to the whole text and somehow special to "#1" and "#2" (Why are these arguments not bold?) As of your explanations, I currently think of the following logic for typesetting (in pseudocode): ``` function typeset_chapter(style, numberstyle, textstyle, command, alternative, chapter_number, chapter_title) { local formatted_chapter_number = apply_style(numberstyle, apply_style(style, chapter_number)) local formatted_chapter_title = apply_style(textstyle, apply_style(style, chapter_title)) if (alternative != "normal") set_TeX_macro("\headnumbercontent", formatted_chapter_number) set_TeX_macro("\headtextcontent", formatted_chapter_title) typeset_as_TeX(get_TeX_code(alternative)) else evaluate_TeX_function(command, #1=formatted_chapter_number, #2=formatted_chapter_title) endif } ``` But this does not fit to example 2. The following descriptions applies to most setup commands when exclude special cases like \setupbodyfont or \setuplayout. The order in which the parameters are used is the following: a) check if the "command" parameter has a value and if this is true is it and ignore the "alternative" value b) if no value is present for the "command" parameter use the value of "alternative". The value of the "style" parameter is unrelated of the command/alternative values because it isn't needed to choose a layout for the heading, all the parameter does is to change the font/style which is independent of the layout. [NTG-context] Specify separator within setupbtx for custom bibliography rendering
Hi, according to the section "Custom citation renderings" in the bibliography manual, I have specified an own setup for citation rendering. However, this seems only to work for single citations (of one source). I want to also specify the separator but did not get it to run. Here is a minimal example: ``` \setupinteraction[state=start] \startbuffer[testdata] @Book{knuth1, author = {Donald E. Knuth}, title = {TEX and METAFONT. New directions in typesetting}, year = {1979}, publisher = {Addison-Wesley}, } @Article{someother, author = {Some Person and Some Otherperson}, title = {Another title}, year = {1900}, } \stopbuffer % enable tracing \enabletrackers[publications, publications.crossref, publications.details, publications.cite, publications.strings] \usebtxdataset[main][testdata.buffer] \usebtxdefinitions[aps] \setupbtx[dataset=main] \definebtxrendering[bibrendering][aps][dataset=main, numbering=short] \setupbtxlist[aps][ alternative=b, distance=.5em, ] \definebtx[aps:cite:special][aps:cite][ left={((}, right={))}, separator:2={sfd}, separator:3={sfd}, separator:4={sfd}, ] \startsetups btx:aps:cite:special % just a dummy \btxcitereference \currentbtxtag \stopsetups \setupbtx[aps:cite][ alternative=special, ] \starttext Both said something~\cite[knuth1, someother]. \placelistofpublications[bibrendering] \stoptext ``` The output of this is: > Both said something ((knuth1someother)). How can I get the separator to work? My expectation would be: > Both said something ((knuth1sfdsomeother)). or > Both said something ((knuth1sfd someother)). Yes, I think it is possible to just use \setuphead [chapter] instead of \setuphead [MyChapter] with the rest remaining the same. It says the last upload of the package was 2023-05-05 but that it somehow contains the Context version from 2024-04-09. I'm not quite sure how that can be the case? I tried playing with fallback thing but it didn't got me anywhere! e.g. $x$ will use the 'x' glyph from current serif italic font, and $\bf x$ will use the 'x' glyph from current serif bold font! I would appreciate any suggestions and help! Suppose we have all the required font files in the 'font' directory of the working directory, and below is the minimal source code! Hi ???, not all commands provide a way to inherit their options but the "framed" and "counter" mechanism supports it. To use the framed mechanism with your own command replace \installcommandhandler with \installframedcommandhandler. This creates a command named \inherited...framed which can be customized with the setups of the new namespace. begin example \unprotect \installnamespace {sidenote} \installframedcommandhandler \sidenote {sidenote} \sidenote \protect \starttext \inheritedsidenoteframed{Text in a frame!} \setupsidenote[framecolor=red,width=8cm,height=2cm] \inheritedsidenoteframed{Text in a frame!} \stoptext end example To use the counter mechanism with your commands you have to first use \installcounterassociation to create the two new commands \register...counter (this ensures the default counter values are used when you don't set anything) and \synchronize...counters (which updates the counter values when you use the setup of your own command). Unlike the framed mechanism this no longer works with the root instance of your own commands because we create a new counter only when you create a instance (with \define...) of the new command. begin example \unprotect \installnamespace{sidenote} \installcommandhandler \sidenote {sidenote} \sidenote \installcounterassociation{sidenote} \appendtoks \registersidenotecounter\currentsidenote \definecounter[\currentsidenote]% \to \everydefinesidenote \appendtoks \synchronizesidenotecounters \to \everysetupsidenote \protect \starttext % create a new sidenote instance with a associated counter \definesidenote[example] \start % use grouping to keep the sidenote instance local \def\currentsidenote{example}% set the sidenote instance to example \incrementcounter[example]% increment the example/sidenote counter \convertedcounter[example]% print the example/sidenote counter \stop % change the number format of the example/sidenote counter \setupsidenote[example][numberconversion=romannumerals] \start \def\currentsidenote{example} \incrementcounter[example] \convertedcounter[example] \stop \stoptext end example Wolfgang ___ If your question is of interest to others as well, please add an entry to the Wiki! maillist : ntg-context@ntg.nl / https://mailman.ntg.nl/mailman3/lists/ntg-context.ntg.nl webpage : https://www.pragma-ade.nl / https://context.aanhet.net (mirror) archive : https://github.com/contextgarden/context wiki : https://wiki.contextgarden.net ___

[NTG-context] Combine lua and btx setup, was: Re: Customize citation format of a bibliography (use the short form as reference format)
Here is a solution for the first part of my question. This is based on https://www.mail-archive.com/ntg-context@ntg.nl/msg101156.html and try and error based on publ-imp-aps.mkvi and publ-imp-apa.mkvi: It display now the citation _and_ numbering labels in the short form: ``` \setupinteraction[state=start] \startbuffer[testdata] @Book{knuth1, author = {Donald E. Knuth}, title = {TEX and METAFONT. New directions in typesetting}, year = {1979}, publisher = {Addison-Wesley}, } @Article{someother, author = {Some Person and Some Otherperson}, title = {Another title}, year = {1900}, } \stopbuffer % enable tracing \enabletrackers[publications, publications.crossref, publications.details, publications.cite, publications.strings] \usebtxdataset[main][testdata.buffer] \usebtxdefinitions[aps] \setupbtx[dataset=main] \definebtxrendering[bibrendering][aps][dataset=main, numbering=short] \setupbtxlist[aps][ alternative=b, distance=.5em, ] \setupbtx[aps:cite][alternative=short] \starttext Knuth developed \TeX \cite[knuth1] Several persons said something \cite[someother]. \placelistofpublications[bibrendering] \stoptext ``` The remaining part now is to mark publications of Knuth in a different way. I have tried this and failed. Here is my code so far: ``` \startluacode function render_cite(short, author) print(author) if author:lower():find("knuth") then context("[>" .. short .. "]") else context("[" .. short .. "]") end end \stopluacode \definebtx[aps:cite:special][aps:cite] \startsetups btx:aps:cite:special \btxcitereference \ctxlua{render_cite([==[\btxflush{year}]==], [==[\btxflush{author}]==])} \stopsetups % use it with \cite[special][knuth1] ``` This has several problems: - \btxflush{short} does not work as I expected that. How can I get the short form? - \btxflush to pass arguments to lua does not work as intended. On the lua side the variable "author" resolves to "\btxflushauthor{author}" and not to "D. E. Knuth". How can I pass the data? I use Lua only because I find it more convenient as a programming language. If a plain tex solution is simpler, I'm happy to use that. Another question that came up while studying the source code: What effect have \c!, \s!, and \v!? These commands exist a lot in the above cited files. Gerion Am Mittwoch, 17. Hi Emmanuel, Thank you so much for the new setup for writing Japanese: I tested with both files, and noticed that with the new version the output looks great. I have a question about the code in the \directlua{} part of your setup: why, for instance, the paperSize = « B5" is defined « by hand » there, instead of being retrieved from the command \setuppapersize[B5] issued by the user? Actually I am using your setup for learning Japanese, and at my beginner’s level I do separate words I am learning with spaces. While with the previous version of your setup the lines were breaking womewhat strangely, but now the spaces between words in the output are as I intended them to be (I should also Thank Wolfgang Schuster for his insight with the \script[nihongo], and indeed Hans for fixing so quickly the slightest bug). Dear Dalyoung, Thank you very much for your insight. I downloaded the Noto Serif JP fonts and set up a fontfamily as you indicated, by adding \setscript[nihongo] which solves a problem I had with line breakings. And everything works smoothly! So, for the mail archive, here is what I have and what works fine: %%% Noto Fonts \definefontfamily[JapaneseFont][rm][Noto Serif JP] [ it={style:regular, features:{*,slanted}}, sl={style:regular, features:{*,slanted}}, bi={style:bold, features:{*,slanted}},force=yes] \definefontfamily[JapaneseFont][ss][Noto Serif JP] [ it={style:regular, features:{*,slanted}}, sl={style:regular, features:{*,slanted}}, bi={style:bold, features:{*,slanted}},force=yes] \definefontfamily[JapaneseFont][tt][Noto Serif JP] [ it={style:regular, features:{*,slanted}}, sl={style:regular, features:{*,slanted}}, bi={style:bold, features:{*,slanted}},force=yes] \definefontfamily[JapaneseFont][math][Tex Gyre Termes Math] %\definefontfamily[JapaneseFont][math][Tex Gyre Pagella Math] %\definefontfamily[JapaneseFont][math][Tex Gyre Aventor] \setupbodyfont[JapaneseFont,12pt] \setupruby[location=top,voffset=-2ex] \setupwhitespace[big] \setscript[nihongo] \starttext \ruby{早}{はや}く。 いきましょう。 \stoptext Best regards: Otared > On 27 Feb 2024, at 13:55, Jeong Dal via ntg-context > wrote: > > Dear Otared, > > I am using Korean as main language. > I used use typescript file, but recently I use \definefontfamily. > Since using Japanese font is similar to use Korean font, I show my example > of using Noto fonts. Dear Otared, I am using Korean as main language. I used use typescript file, but recently I use \definefontfamily. Since using Japanese font is similar to use Korean font, I show my example of using Noto fonts. It was made by the help of expert of this list long time ago. You may change "Noto Serif CJK KR” to Japanese font. I also use "\setscript[hangul]” when I use Korean as mainlanaguage. I hope that you may enhance the following code. Best regards, Dalyoung %%% Noto Fonts \definefontfamily[notoFont][rm][Noto Serif CJK KR] [ it={style:regular, features:{*,slanted}}, sl={style:regular, features:{*,slanted}}, bi={style:bold, features:{*,slanted}},force=yes] \definefontfamily[notoFont][ss][Noto Sans CJK KR] [ it={style:regular, features:{*,slanted}}, sl={style:regular, features:{*,slanted}}, bi={style:bold, features:{*,slanted}},force=yes] \definefontfamily[notoFont][tt][Noto Sans Mono CJK KR] [ it={style:regular, features:{*,slanted}}, sl={style:regular, features:{*,slanted}}, bi={style:bold, features:{*,slanted}},force=yes] \definefontfamily[notoFont][math][Tex Gyre Termes Math] %\definefontfamily[notoFonts][math][Tex Gyre Pagella Math] %\definefontfamily[notoCJK][math][Tex Gyre Aventor] > 2024. 2. 27. 오전 6:49, Otared Kavian 작성: > > Hi Hraban, > > Your are right indeed !
