Well you can put sth onto the object for a start...
have it as a particle emitter, use it as a mask...
light it...
I think it depends a bit on the subject, sometimes object tracks that 
are fixed in position are more valuable than the ones with an actual 
camera and moving...


But hey it surely is a great addition to the toolset, having that in nuke.

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood. I haven't tested this with am moving camera 
yet hence my half-arsed reply, sorry.
That sounds like a bug. I assumed that the resulting transform as viewed 
through the original camera will give you the correct line up. You are 
saying that is not the case?

I just gave it a go and it is doing the right thing. I.e. the resulting 
transform plus the original camera yield the match

Yeah, the demo is a little confusing that way. But I think what Igor is 
saying that if you have a moving camera and a moving object, the 
resulting object track will have the camera movement baked in, i.e. will 
no longer work with the original tracked camera and will have to be 
rendered through a static camera - is that right Igor?
I still haven't tried it here but I would have expected the resulting 
animation to be exclusive of any camera motion, so that the combo of 
both match the shot.

Doesn't it stand to reason that the camera in the demo vid isn't 
animated/tracked, hence all movement in the transform Geo node. 

If the camera had been fracked it would have been a pretty lackluster demo 
since the camera is they only thing moving in that plate.
