Untuk ini, Bloomberg menggelar survei terhadap 13 analis, trader dan shipbrokers. Ongkos pengiriman juga akan turun sebesar US$ 28.758 per hari pada kuartal ini dari US$ 44.576 per 1 April 2010. Program pengembangan pembangunan kapal yang paling besar dalam tiga dekade belakangan adalah menambah suplai sejumlah tanker yang digunakan untuk menyimpan minyak mentah. Tentu saja, hal ini menggemukkan jumlah kapal karena permintaan minyak mentah anjlok. Frontline Ltd., operator supertanker terbesar di dunia, diprediksikan akan merugi. Kilang minyak menutup operasi mereka dan mereka juga telah mengimpor minyak, kata Andreas Vergottis, Research Director Tufton Oceanic Ltd. Menurutnya, stok minyak mentah akan semakin menggemuk. Karenanya, pada kuartal kedua tahun ini sepertinya bisnis supertanker akan mulai melandai. Sementara itu, permintaan minyak mentah dunia akan anjlok sebesar 0,5% menjadi 85,9 juta barel per hari pada kuartal ini. Jika sampai bubble (ekonomi) pecah, maka tidak ada persiapan sama sekali karena RUU OJK dan JPSK pasti tidak jadi, karena Sri Mulyani tidak dikutikan rapat kerja dengan DPR. Kalau demikian bisa terjadi krisis luar biasa, tandas Aviliani. Aviliani mengatakan kedua RUU tersebut sangat mendesak untuk disahkan saat ini karena situasi ekonomi bisa mengancam kapan saja. Saat ini SBI (Sertifikat Bank Indonesia) asing Rp 13 triliun, pasar modal sekarang aksi beli terus-terusan orang hanya cari untung, uang jadi uang. Kalau kita over likuiditas dolar lalu hot money diambil, maka bubble bisa pecah. Kalau balonnya pecah nggak mungkin ambil APBN karena tidak ada RUU JPSK, kalau begini BI tidak bisa apa-apa, tegasnya. Sebelumnya, Sri Mulyani mengharapkan DPR tidak mencampuradukkan antara hasil Sidang Paripurna DPR kasus Bank Century yang menyeret namanya dengan rencana penyerahan draft RAPBN-P 2010 kepada Badan Anggaran DPR RI. Menanggapi isu pemboikotan rapat RAPBN-P yang akan dihadirinya, Sri Mulyani yakin DPR masih meletakkan kepentingan nasional di atas kepentingan politik. Sri Mulyani menyatakan jika DPR tidak menyetujui usulan pemerintah dalam RAPBN-P 2010, dikhawatirkan justru akan mengorbankan kesejahteraan rakyat. Pasalnya, dalam RAPBN-P itu tercantum sejumlah anggaran yang berpihak terhadap masyarakat, seperti anggaran untuk recovery daerah yang terkena gempa dan stabilisasi inflasi. Seperti diketahui, sejumlah anggota DPR menyuarakan boikot terhadap pihak-pihak yang dianggap bersalah dalam bailout Bank Century seperti Wapres Boediono dan Menkeu Sri Mulyani. Mereka meminta pihak-pihak yang dianggap bersalah tidak diundang dalam acara-acara di DPR. Ketua Badan Anggaran DPR RI Harry Azhar Azis mengaku pihaknya siap memboikot kehadiran Sri Mulyani termasuk dalam pembahasan APBN jika memang paripurna DPR memutuskan hal tersebut.

Some 20% is sold to the export market, and 80% is sold to the OEM market. The Company’s market share in the OEM segment is 95%. It also has 60-65% market share in the ARG (Auto Repair Glass) market, with the remainder accounted for by Mulia and other players (Armada, Adiputro, etc). The main export market is Asia, whereby 20% is sold to the Japanese market. The Company currently operates four lines of production. The company previously expected volume to rise by about 5% qoq in Oct-Dec, but it announced that because of this incident 4Q volume could remain flat or fall slightly. Corning is working to assess the specific impact, but our channel checks indicate that 5 of the plant’s 14 furnaces were affected, which we estimate is about 4% of the LCD glass industry’s production capacity, and that these furnaces will need repairs that will prevent them being restarted for 2-3 months. Positive for Asahi Glass/Nippon Electric Glass; neutral for panels Two industry implications: (1) Impact for glass makers: We think Samsung Corning Precision, Nippon Electric Glass (5214.T, Neutral; Oct. 19 closing price ¥960), and Asahi Glass (5201.T, Buy, Conviction List; Oct. 19 closing price ¥794) are likely to compensate for shipment shortfalls at Corning’s Taiwan plant, and that near-term volume is likely to be slightly higher at each firm. We think glass supply/demand could be tighter than we previously expected in Oct-Dec and Jan-Mar. If price declines are smaller, we believe consensus estimates for glass maker earnings could rise for FY09 and FY10. We think this is positive news for Nippon Electric Glass and Asahi Glass. We maintain our buy rating for Asahi Glass, and keep the stock on our Conviction List. (2) Impact for panel makers: We think LG Display, Samsung and Innolux are less impacted by this incident. Note that Innolux is sheltered by a guaranteed supply contract with Corning. We expect panel prices will still hold up in the next two months, supported by glass supply constraint, and that risk to our 4Q09 earnings forecast should be on the upside. However, this is not going to change the industry overcapacity downward trend. We believe the effect of a seasonal slowdown in demand will still be greater than the impact of a glass shortage. AMFG is a subsidiary of Asahi Glass of Japan, a major global player in the production of glass. It commands some 41% capacity share in Indonesia, with over 95% market share of domestic automotive glass and 40% of flat glass. AMFG produces two types of glass: 1. Flat glass This product is used in buildings (33%) and the automotive industry (67%). Capacity utilization is 98%. The product contributes 80% to total sales. Some 60% of the product is sold to the export market. 2. Automotive glass The product is processed from flat glass. Capacity utilization is around 85-90%. Some 20% is sold to the export market, and 80% is sold to the OEM market. The Company’s market share in the OEM segment is 95%. It also has 60-65% market share in the ARG (Auto Repair Glass) market, with the remainder accounted for by Mulia and other players (Armada, Adiputro, etc). The main export market is Asia, whereby 20% is sold to the Japanese market. The Company currently operates four lines of production. It does not plan to increase the production capacity in the near-term as with only 5% growth in domestic demand, the management believes that the current capacity will suffice to meet additional demand. The management estimates that to add one line of production with capacity of 160,000 metric tons, it would need to invest some US$60-100mn. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - AMFG has just finished its Cold Repair project at F3-Jakarta furnace and resumed operation on Sep 5, 2009. SPIEGEL: On the day after the bankruptcy of the investment bank Lehman Brothers, the American real estate crisis became an earthquake which was felt throughout the world economy. Have the people who caused the crisis learned from the events of last September? Dominique Strauss-Kahn: A few months prior to the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy, the secretary of the Treasury at that time, Hank Paulson, organized a dinner for government officials and a handful of CEOs from big American investment banks. Hardly anyone knew about Lehman's problems then, but Bear Stearns had already collapsed. So the problems in the financial sector were evident. Over dinner, one of the high-profile bankers told us: Look, we were actually too greedy. This is why we need to restrain our greed with better regulation. SPIEGEL: Sounds good. But are you sure …? Strauss-Kahn: I know what you are about to ask: No, I am not sure. I do not know if he would say the same thing today. SPIEGEL: Most Wall Street bankers seem to feel bullish again. Once again, millions are being handed out in bonuses, as rewards for highly risky business deals. The banking community would much prefer to be left alone by politicians once again. Strauss-Kahn: Well, human weakness is stronger than reason. SPIEGEL: The CEO of Goldman Sachs said after the crisis that it was a perfect storm and that you cannot do anything to protect yourself against a perfect storm. Strauss-Kahn: That is a flawed metaphor. Human society is not a force of nature. The financial crisis was a catastrophic event, but one created by human hand. The lesson we all need to learn is that even a free market economy needs some regulation, otherwise it cannot function. All these ideas about deregulation -- that more deregulation is always better and that the market can solve every problem -- are fine on paper but they do not work in reality. SPIEGEL: Ludwig Erhard, the mastermind behind the German Wirtschaftswunder, the post-war economic miracle, had this insight 60 years ago. He coined his own term for it, calling it the social market economy. Strauss-Kahn: Erhard is a German legend, but his ideas are attracting more and more followers worldwide. There are very few people today who say you should not have a market at all. And there are also very few who want absolutely no regulation. I think it is very interesting that during this crisis all governments -- whether liberal or conservative -- took similar measures, ranging from fiscal stimulus to the restructuring of the banking sector. SPIEGEL: Then again, in reality not much has changed. In American political circles, the motivation for reform seems to be waning. Strauss-Kahn: In general, I share part of your skepticism. I remember only too well the first report on lessons from the crisis. That was at the G-7 meeting in spring 2008 when problems in the financial sector were already evident. All of us agreed with most of the reform proposals, but 17 months later, only a part of it has been implemented. Of course, it is not an easy task to do, but that worries me, particularly when I think of the traders on Wall Street. SPIEGEL: Are you suggesting that there are no incentives for them to change their risky behavior? Strauss-Kahn: There is not much point in politicians, academics and authors drawing lessons from the events if these do not reach the young trader at the bank. Without rules, the trader is likely to resort to his old behavior. He will attempt to take greater risks to earn higher rewards, because someone else will cover the risk. That is precisely what happened a year ago. SPIEGEL: But isn't the current response to the crisis creating new risks? Bankers now know that the government will ultimately come to the rescue when all goes terribly wrong. Economists call this moral hazard, where individuals have an incentive to behave recklessly because they know they will not be punished for their mistakes. Was the downfall of Lehman Brothers necessary as an educational measure? Strauss-Kahn: From a moral hazard perspective, it may be the right decision to allow a bank to fail. But the systemic consequences have to be taken into account and in this case they have been severe. I think most people today would say that letting Lehman go down was not a good idea. But hindsight is always easier than foresight. At the time, many factors and scenarios needed to be considered under extreme time constraints. Policymakers needed

Ada beberapa perbankan dalam negeri yang tengah didekati untuk ikut mendanai pembangunan pembangkit itu a.l. BRI, Bukopin, Mandiri, BNI, dan bank lokal lainnya. Khusus Bank Bukopin, bank itu telah menandatangani komitmen mendanai PLTU Pacitan dengan nilai Rp1,46 triliun. Dari pembicaraan awal kami, mereka tampak berminat membiayai. Berkaitan dengan penggunaan mata uang renminbi atau juga dikenal dengan nama yuan untuk pembelian barang modal pembangkit, Fahmi mengakui dirinya tidak mengetahuinya secara detail. Saya dengar ada beberapa kendala untuk renminbi itu. Renminbi blanked berlakunya hanya 2-3 tahun, sedangkan pendanaan PLN berlakunya sampai 13 tahun, tuturnya. Bila benar itu yang menjadi persoalan, jelasnya, ada kendala dari sisi waktu sehingga sulit dilaksanakan. Namun untuk kondisi tertentu, penggunaan renminbi masih mungkin dilakukan. Menurut Fahmi, sepanjang 2008-2009 PLN juga mendapatkan dana sebesar Rp2 triliun dari alokasi APBN untuk pembangunan transmisi PLN. Sebenarnya PLN masih dapat soft loan sebesar Rp11,5 triliun, tetapi kan masih tertahan di komisi anggaran. Untuk 2010 kami ajukan alokasi di APBN sebesar Rp10 triliun untuk membiayai meringankan beban internal perseroan. Dia mengakui sebenarnya PLN berharap bisa segera menerbitkan obligasi karena salah satu sumber pendanaan berasal dari obligasi. Kalau itu perlu, akan kami terbitkan, tetapi kalau tidak, masih bisa ditunda dulu.

manakah harga saham bumi? Gocap pun sangat mungkin.
Untuk pada pemburu recehan alias short term trader, hindari dulu saham BUMI.
Sentimen market kepada saham2nya Oom AB masih sangat jelek. Orang sudah males
pegang sahamnya oom AB karena males ditipu lagi (Inget dulu BNBR terus2an
membantah adanya saham Repo, kenyataannya kita semua tahulah), Namun untuk yang
berjiwa sabar alias long term player, bolehlah mulai collect BUMI mengingat PER
dan PBV BUMI sudah amat sangat rendah. BUMI dengan harga closing jumat kemarin
saja (Rp 710), PER-nya cuman 2.71 dan PBV 0.82 sementara PTBA masih memiliki
P{ER 8.01 dan PBV 3.33 (data Bloomberg pagi ini sebelum trading).

Next month the International Energy Agency (IEA) will release it first-ever assessment of the condition of the world's largest 400 oil fields. It is expected to conclude that future crude supplies will be ‘far tighter' that previously believed. In addition, depletion rates in these existing oilfields are much higher than anticipated. Experts have disputed the actual decline rates of existing fields for years. The consensus has been that on average crude oil production in existing fields declined three to five percent per year. The IEA found that existing fields declined on average at 6.4% per year if companies invested heavily to maintain production – and declined 9.1% without such investments. These decline rates are much higher than anticipated, a number some would describe as ‘stunning'. Because the world produces about 74 million barrels of crude oil per day this decline rate means that at least 4.7 million barrels per day need to be found just to keep global production stable – and global demand has been growing at roughly 2% per year. Adding to IEA concerns, energy projects are very capital intensive so the credit squeeze will reduce expenditures in both existing and new fields. This will make it much more difficult for crude oil production to grow in any meaningful manner in the near future. Global demand meanwhile is expected to continue to increase, with a gain of 0.8% expected in 2009 according to the IEA. The chart at right by Chad Brand, using Energy Information Administration data, reflects the longer term demand trends (theoildrum.com). Keep in mind a severe global economic contraction may create a short term demand decline. The IEA concludes that elevated depletion rates, increasing costs, the credit crunch, and demand growth all factor into a world that will have increasing difficulty meeting crude oil demand – and a world in which we could see sharply higher energy prices. With regard to natural gas, production from the average unconventional shale well in the U.S. declines roughly 50% in the first year. A Barnett shale well produces around 65% of its gas in the first year and around 80% in the first two years according to industry estimates. The only way to replace that steep fall in production is to drill more wells – but the credit crunch and weak natural gas prices are causing many operators to scale back or cancel their drilling plans. Storage levels for natural gas are 3.3% lower than last year at this time and 1.7% lower than two years ago at this time. Depending on the weather, history tells us that next week will be the last week for injections of any size. Canadian imports of natural gas, as well as liquefied natural gas imports – our two import sources of the fuel – have declined steeply. Roughly one-third of the Gulf of Mexico's natural gas production remains shut-in after the summer hurricanes. Heating season – the major use for natural gas during the winter months – is just beginning. Both the crude oil and natural gas futures markets are in steep ‘contango' – meaning that future production is more expensive in the market than current production. This condition is an indication that we do not have a glut of either commodity waiting to be sold, and is bullish for prices. Warren Buffett has noted that his best investments have been in profitable, well positioned companies in attractive sectors. In our opinion, the long term trends in the energy sector make it a very attractive sector for investors.
