ini info mengenai keuntungan Inco di tahun 2006 US$614M, bandingkan
dengan keuntungan 2005 sekitar US$268M. Busyeet!!
Melihat informasi yang keluar dari pihak perusahan, dengan adanya
kekurangan airlah, pemotongan produksilah, ataupun kekurangan
revenuelah ... kelihatannya INCO mau mengurangi dampak menggilanya
harga saham. Tapi fakta menunjukkan keuntungan perusahan membengkak!
Adakah yang bisa menganalisa kenapa ada perusahan memberikan sinyal
negatif, padahal kondisinya sangat menguntungkan??? Sedangkan kalau
perusahan lain akan berusaha menginformasikan rencana2 positif jangka
panjang yang belum tentu dilaksanakan! Sesuatu yang sangat aneh ...
dan pada saat formal diumukan tentunya akan berpengaruh pada harga
saham. Please .. urun rembug!

An analyst of PT Trimegah Securities Tbk Sebastian Tobing has
predicted that the company's production will reach 159 million pounds
while the profit and the revenue will be US$582 million and US$1.33
billion.

He predicted that this year the company's profit and revenue will
increase to US$614 million and US$1.36 million.

Dengar dari suatu sumber, INCO mau go private.

keuntungan Inco naik. 40 rebu mah gampang! terlalu konservative itu.
R, aGoeng

Last month I wrote an essay on this year's amazing run in nickel.
And interestingly one of the major reasons for nickel's success was
attributed to the action of its LME stock levels. As you can see in
the chart below, nickel stock has taken a nosedive this year. Due
to increased demand and sluggish supply, warehoused nickel inventory
has plummeted by nearly 90% this year alone.

Throughout the year as nickel stock continued to get pilfered by
increasing demand, the plunge to the 5k to 7k metric ton range gave
catalyst to a sharp rise in nickel's price. And in this range
standing LME nickel stock tallies the equivalent of just over one
day worth of global nickel consumption!

Since the beginning of this year the price of nickel has soared
157% to its recent bull-to-date high over $15 per pound. Though
this latest push over $12 or so could be attributed to speculative
excess, this shows that simple fundamentals, in this case alarmingly
low stock levels, have enormous influence on nickel's tactical price
movements.

Nickel could be hit by index reweighting next week
Bianca Markram 5 January 2007 Metal Bulletin News Alert Service
Base metals, in particular nickel, could fall even harder next week at the
London Metal Exchange as index funds sell off large portions of their long
metals positions as they adjust their funds' exposure for 2007, traders said.
The meteoric rise in prices last year means that the Dow Jones AIG and
Goldman Sachs Commodities indices must sell significant positions to ensure
that their funds' investment in metals - the number of contracts held - is the
same as a percentage of the funds' total value as at the start of last year,
traders said. Nickel and zinc are expected to be the hardest hit because
they have risen the most since the start of last year: the three-month prices
on January 3 were 135 percent and 107 percent higher respectively than January
3 2006. This could mean that as much as 20,000-25,000 tonnes of nickel and
150,000 tonnes of zinc will be sold by AIG and Goldman Sachs
in the coming week, traders said. The sale of nickel eqates to 800 lots of
nickel per day over a five-day period, one trader noted. Base metals have
grown more in 2006 than energy, so it is widely thought that both AIG Dow Jones
and Goldman Sachs will be net sellers of base metals in the coming weeks, said
Jim Lennon, analyst at Macquarie Bank. The adjustment by the indices goes
some way to explaining the terrible start to new year trading, which saw copper
trade at nine-month lows on three consecutive days, traders said. With
copper showing some signs of recovery on Friday, some traders said the indices
had probably carried out the adjustment, but others speculated that the worst
could be to come. Everyone's shell-shocked. It's like what the hell was
that. Was that it or is there more to come? asked a senior official at an LME
ring dealer. The selling we've seen in base metals this week could have
been prompted by the news of the indices'
prospective rebalancing, said a second London trader. People saw the news
and said: 'We have to get out before all of that metal gets dumped on the
market next week.' It is also possible that the indices have already
started rebalancing their positions, and that this is what's behind the drops
we've seen this week. But if all of this metal still has to come to the
market, we're in for a serious nose-dive in base metals prices, he warned.
Traders pointed to nickel which has stood out because it has shown no signs of
coming under pressure - on Friday, the three-month price rose as high as
$34,400 per tonne from $32,475 on Tuesday when trading resumed after the new
year bank holiday. That [nickel tonnage] should be huge and could see
nickel plunging to the low $20,000-range, said a third London trader. And yet
nickel has been continuing to trade in the high $32,000 to the low $33,000
range. The AIG and Goldman Sachs indices both list nickel,
zinc, copper and aluminium and Goldman Sachs also has lead. Neither
company would comment on the situation

I think the main problem with base metals is that Traders have been sitting on
very large gains since last year,
upwards to 150% profits, especially in Nickel. Also supply has been very slowly
increasing, with the rise of
new and reopened mines. Invest carefully in metals producers stocks, profit
taking could easily wipe out a large
profit

[Dow Jones] Supply-side concerns will force further short covering of
London Metal Exchange nickel with the market expected to exceed its
recent all-time highs, a broker says. Reports that Indonesia will ban
exports of mineral ores and concentrates from March have heightened
the supply worries in the critically-tight market while PT Inco's
ongoing output cut due to a lack of water is attracting fresh buying,
the broker adds. An ongoing disruption at the nickel mines of BHP
Billiton in western Australia due to poor weather conditions is also
underpinning prices. LME nickel trades at $34,100 a metric ton, an
intraday high and 6% up on Thursday's low.

BHP Reopens Nickel Mines, Reveals Smelter Stoppage (Update6)
 By Madelene Pearson
Jan. 5 (Bloomberg) -- BHP
Billiton Ltd., the world's largest mining company, reopened two Australian
nickel mines as the weather improved and said it lost two-half days of output
at its Kalgoorlie smelter after heavy rain.
The Mt. Keith and Leinster open pits have reopened, Emma Meade,
spokeswoman for Melbourne-based BHP said in an e-mail. Output at the smelter
returned to normal today, she said. Minara Resources Ltd., which stopped mining
at its Murrin Murrin operation yesterday, said it expects to resume this
weekend.
BHP and Minara, the nation's two largest nickel producers, halted
mining yesterday after heavy rain in parts of Western Australia, helping to
send nickel prices up 4.4 percent in London. Australia was the second-largest
nickel producer in 2005, with output of 210,000 metric tons.
``The issues have been resolved and today we have been producing
without interruption,'' at the Kalgoorlie smelter, Meade said. ``There won't be
any impact to customers and we are meeting all of our customers requirements.''

Mt. Keith can produce as much as 50,000 metric tons of nickel in
concentrate a year, BHP said on its Web site. Leinster can produce between
40,000 tons and 45,000 tons, it said. The two mines account for a third of the
world's output of nickel in concentrate, BHP said on its Web site.
Shares of BHP fell 23 cents, or 0.9 percent, to A$24.14 on the
Australian Stock Exchange at the 4:10 p.m. close of trade in Sydney. Minara, 51
percent owned by Glencore International AG, rose 2 cents, or 0.4 percent, to
A$5.32. Zug, Switzerland-based Glencore is the world's largest commodity
trader.
 Murrin Murrin
Nickel processing at Minara's Murrin Murrin mine is continuing,
spokesman for the company, Willie Rowe said by phone from Perth. Minara said
last month it expected to produce 31,000 to 33,000 metric tons of metal in
2006.
The rain had ``minimal'' affect on Minara's operations, Rowe said. The
company had introduced a water management strategy in the past few years which
reduced the affect of these events, he said.
BHP's $2.2 billion Ravensthorpe nickel project, to the south of the
two nickel mines, is open. There has been ``significant rainfall'' in the
surrounding areas, Meade said.
Ravensthorpe received 113 millimeters (4.4 inches) of rain through to
9 a.m. Perth time, the Bureau of Meteorology said on its Web site. Leinster
received 32 millimeters in the past 72 hours, it said.
