[onap-discuss] SDNC interaction disabled in MSO bpmn flows

2017-04-25 Thread Pujar, Rashmi
Thanks for the replies Brian and Daniel.

When I mentioned SDNC disabled I was referring to this particular occurrence
at:
https://gerrit.onap.org/r/gitweb?p=mso.git;a=blob;f=bpmn/MSOInfrastructureBPMN/src/main/groovy/org/openecomp/mso/bpmn/infrastructure/scripts/DoCreateVnf.groovy;h=23763c63b8161b2613ae089b888911a00916facb;hb=b6b7bef8bdcad15af01ac88a038dd763ce59f68f#l60<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__gerrit.onap.org_r_gitweb-3Fp-3Dmso.git-3Ba-3Dblob-3Bf-3Dbpmn_MSOInfrastructureBPMN_src_main_groovy_org_openecomp_mso_bpmn_infrastructure_scripts_DoCreateVnf.groovy-3Bh-3D23763c63b8161b2613ae089b888911a00916facb-3Bhb-3Db6b7bef8bdcad15af01ac88a038dd763ce59f68f-23l60=DwMGaQ=LFYZ-o9_HUMeMTSQicvjIg=e3d1ehx3DI5AoMgDmi2Fzw=K2Bn2LK-__YeLjvGD5tX1I5m5Xi83SpRemq__4ftaII=MXN6C1q_C7X88dOuyw3xce0bSphW5ty43WBvwO6zf38=>
This leads to the Create VNF bpmn subprocess to end the event thereby skipping
SDNC during ?Create VNF? operation. Is my understanding correct?
Thanks for the pointer to the tutorial, I just skimmed through it and it looks
like VF module configuration will be handled using directed graphs and need not
be a part of the MSO workflow.

Thanks,
Rashmi

The demo use cases have no configuration via sdnc so that is why they are not
called, but I don?t believe they are disabled per se, just not used if not
needed

***Security Advisory: This Message Originated Outside of AT ***
Reference http://cso.att.com/EmailSecurity/IDSP.html for more information.
MSO calls SDNC during VNF instantiation.

Tail -f /opt/opendaylight/current/data/log/svclogic.log or karaf.log on SDNC
while executing the demo?s.
Svclogic.log in particular will show the sequence from reserve, assign,
activate, rollback, delete.

There is a tutorial for just what you are describing that is under construction
but should explain the process involved.

Subject: [onap-discuss] SDNC interaction disabled in MSO bpmn flows

Hi ONAPers!

I am looking at the BPMN flows in MSO to understand the end-to-end workflows
for creation of service instance, VNF and VF modules.
I see that MSO creates entries in AAI Inventory. The calls to SDNC exist
however the SDNC interaction is disabled [1]. What is the reasoning behind
doing so?
If we need to include SDNC/APPC in the workflow for example to mount and
perform configuration on the VNF instead of relying on robot, how can this be
achieved.

Thanks,
Rashmi

Yusuf,

Can you run the healthcheck and let us know the results?

There may be an issue with the IP address mapping 10.0.6.1:8081. We are
seeing this internally also on another installation.

I believe verify has to be set to False and then you can rerun the test again
and it will get past it.

[onap-discuss] Creating ONAP subscribers

2017-04-25 Thread ROSE, DANIEL V
curl command. I?m currently blocked on the MSO
bug, so launching my Clearwater IMS core fails in the same way as trying to
launch vFW or vLB, so I should be able to test it once the MSO fix is available
(hopefully later today).

I?m in the process of writing a small Python command line app to manage
subscribers and their services based on what I?ve learnt, and I?m happy to
share this when it?s working.

Under the hood this uses python. I will try and take a look at the Clearwater
ims and see if I can onboard it and give you an example of what is needed. I
think we may also enhance the demo script to split out some steps so that
people who want to use their own vnfs can use them. Also for release 2 we are
looking to reduce some of the extra stuff needed

I was afraid you would say that ? I?d looked at the robot scripts in the robot
VM and didn?t find them very readable.

I?m in the process of creating some simple Python tools to configure
subscribers and services ? I?ll post them back here when I have them working.

: RE: Questions for SDN-C

(removing onap-tsc to reduce the cross posting)

Zongbiao,

I think the answer to your question is it depends on the carrier network.

The SDNC in ONAP is the same platform as the SDN global controller in the AT
network. The Generic VNF DG??s and northbound API in ONAP is the basis for our
generic VNF resource management in SDNG.

We have other east/west adaptors that we did not open source since they are
proprietary (like EIPAM for address assignments). We also have some
non-standard southbound adaptors/plugins like an ssh adaptor for cli
configuration of routers (VNF and PNF) and some wrappers on standard ODL
southbound adaptors that weren??t pertinent in the VNF space (PCEP, BGP-LS for
core MPLS-TE).

All the standard ODL southbound feature bundles are available and can be
installed in a SDNC simply by following the feature:install process for the
feature bundle in the ODL documentation. Netconf, BGPCEP, SFC, OVSDB, Openflow
are the examples. All of these would be available on the standard ODL
northbound. DG nodes to call these functions from a directed graph is not
available out of the box (except by restapicall node) and for some of those
adapters we have DG nodes that we have not opensourced yet (netconf, bgpcep we
use today). Some of these nodes we should have opensourced like
netconf/netconf-lite since they will be needed for multiple use cases.

We tend to operate separate SDNC instances by major use case (MPSL TE separated
from access VNF config and separated by BGP Flowspec to a Route
Reflector/vRoute Reflector).

A carrier could also operate multiple SDNC??s for regional ??sharding?? of the
work (federated SDNCs) with the service orchestrator calling the appropriate
SDNC based on a homing algorthim. SDNC??s can also call each other via the
restapicall node (see the tutorial on the wiki for SDNC calling APPC as a
simplistic example of that).

A carrier could also have a central SDNC that talks to all the devices via the
above southbound adaptors but I would be concerned about the load ?C
particularly the BGP listener based use cases since the load from the network
can be rather high during BGP re-convergence for a large network.

This might be a great conversation to have during a break on Tuesday of the
F2F. A lot depends on the use case and size of the carrier.

Does that help ?

Brian

Hi,
With some difficulty have deployed onap successfully in vanilla openstack
(liberty).
However the demo.sh init is failing from robot VM.
Attached are the robot logs.

It looks it?s trying to create customer for vnf demo and failing there.

When I looked at the robot keyword in the file demo_preload.robot, I see below
stuff.

Below is the snapshot of the error

[onap-discuss] Adapter information for SDN Controller

2017-04-25 Thread FREEMAN, BRIAN D
Suresh,

We didn?t publish the vsphere adaptor partly because it wasn?t needed for the
RACKSPACE environment and partly because we didn?t have the time to research
the licensing issues. We suspect the client license is unrestricted free use
but I haven?t researched it. Do you have a license reference for the client
libraries ?

I think if you are interested in that adaptor we can work out the details.

For example, I read about a vCenter adapter that can communicate with vCenter.
I am interested to know if the communication is possible to VMware VCD with a
similar kind of adapter for VCD

[onap-discuss] VID portal Error

2017-04-25 Thread Ahmad, Munir
Thanks for you Jimmy,

It was an SDC issue and after re-deploying the backend container the issue was
resolved. The root cause of the issue was that upgrade normative script run
unsuccessfully due to HOST_IP being empty.

Thanks
Munir

Hi, Munir,

I think you need to include a couple of headers. I think you want port 8080
unless you changed the default port SDC runs on. Check vid?s asdc.properties
file for the credentials and hostname/port that is configured in your local
environment.

Try the following, I was able to fetch a tosca model from SDC

curl -LOk -H "X-ECOMP-InstanceID: VID" -H "Authorization: Basic ?
http://:8080/asdc/v1/catalog/services/f091a0c1-55a8-4805-83ca-c939fdb987ba/toscaModel<http://%3csdc_host%3e:8080/asdc/v1/catalog/services/f091a0c1-55a8-4805-83ca-c939fdb987ba/toscaModel>

thanks,
Jimmy

[onap-discuss] [poll] Rackspace vs. Vanilla Openstack

2017-04-25 Thread Arun Arora
Hi Marco,

I see you have installed ONAP on Vanilla OpenStack (Mitaka) and shared the
installation details as well on ONAP wiki. Thanks for the info :)

We are also trying it with OpenStack (Mitaka) installed on CentOS 7. Can you
please provide the info about the infrastructure (Hypervisor, underlying OS
etc) you used in your setup?

Thanks,
Arun

Subject: Re: [onap-discuss] [poll] Rackspace vs. Vanilla Openstack

Hello Joseph,

Could you please let us know more about your ONAP installation in Vanilla
OpenStack?

We are using OpenStack Mitaka, with the latest templates available in
Nexus/Gerrit:
onap_openstack_RC.yaml<https://nexus.onap.org/content/sites/raw/org.openecomp.demo/heat/OpenECOMP/1.1.0-SNAPSHOT/onap_openstack_RC.yaml>
 and
onap_openstack_RC.env<https://nexus.onap.org/content/sites/raw/org.openecomp.demo/heat/OpenECOMP/1.1.0-SNAPSHOT/onap_openstack_RC.env>.

The installation process in OpenStack goes smooth, with some known issue, such
as DCAE doesn?t spin up its data collection and analytics environment, as
documented in Jira: https://jira.onap.org/browse/DCAE-7

DCAE team is working on this.

Thanks,
Marco

Folks,

I am busy the last two weeks or so to setup ONAP on an vanilla OpenStack and,
well, as expected, a few things still not coming up... .
I am curious to learn how many in this community try to setup ONAP on vanilla
Openstack vs. Rackspace.
Replies are appreciated :-)

[onap-discuss] [Policy] PyPDPServer(PEP) get notification from XACML PDP

2017-04-25 Thread Jingjing Zhang
I am wondering how does PyPDPServer(PEP) in XACML get notification from
XACML PDP.
PEP(PyPDPServer) queries XACML PDP using callPDP function in
StdPolicyEngine.java.
But how does PDP notify its decision to PEP? getDecision() in
PolicyEngine.java is deprecated. sendEvent() function is not called by
anyone.
I didn't see how PEP get response from PDP. It's supposed to use either
getDecision() or sendEvent(). But it looks like both are not called by
anything else except tests.

[onap-discuss] [Policy] Pass designed policy rules into policy module

2017-04-25 Thread Jingjing Zhang
In XACML, where should designed policies passed to the policy module?
My understanding from the code is policies' policy (maybe policy template)
is passed through portal, but policies themselves are passed through a file
via different ConfigClients.
do I misunderstand anything?

Hi,
With some difficulty have deployed onap successfully in vanilla openstack
(liberty).
However the demo.sh init is failing from robot VM.
Attached are the robot logs.

It looks it?s trying to create customer for vnf demo and failing there.

When I looked at the robot keyword in the file demo_preload.robot, I see below
stuff.

=
Load Customer And Models
[Documentation] Use openECOMP to Orchestrate a service.
[Arguments]${customer_name}
Setup Orchestrate VNF ${GLOBAL_AAI_CLOUD_OWNER} SharedNodeOwnerType

Unfortunately I was not able to find any env file where I can defined these
customer_name, region, tenantId.

Below is the snapshot of the error

In AAI logs I see below error

Please help me here.

Hi again,

I noticed that there are quite large files checked in to a few repos in ONAP.
The entire source base is about 1.8GB which is rather large. I know that you
probably don?t want to download all the repos but sdnc on it?s own is 427MB.
For example, in the sdnc the following file is 404MB:

sdnc/oam/installation/sdnc/src/main/resources/distribution-karaf-0.5.1-Boron-SR1.tar.gz

Then in the dcae repos there are three log files of 64MB each

cae/demo/startup/message-router/docker_files/data-zookeeper/version-2/

I would be happy to help reducing the size of these repos just to make it
easier to download.

Cheers.

[onap-discuss] Unable to access SDC

2017-04-25 Thread Lando,Michael
Hi,
I wanted to clarify the flow you are using to login into the SDC.

1. Are you using the ecomp portal to login?

2. Did you define the following hosts in your etc hosts file?
sdc.api.simpledemo.openecomp.org
portal.api.simpledemo.openecomp.org

3. When you login into the ecomp portal are you using this url?
http://portal.api.simpledemo.openecomp.org:8989/ECOMPPORTAL/login.htm
The ecomp portal pass an encrypted cookie with the user name of the user that
was logged in into it.
The cookie is decrypted on the sdc side and if the user exists in sdc you are
able to login.
The cookie decryption is connected to the hosts used.

[onap-discuss] [install] ONAP Robot testsute failed on Ubuntu Mitaka Openstack

2017-04-25 Thread Josef Reisinger
This is due to the fact that the script expects a "tenant" element in the
response to creating an auth token. The tenant is only returned if the
request data contain a tenantName element. You find more in the discussion
here:
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Tutorial%3A+Creating+a+Service+Instance+from+a+Design+Model?focusedCommentId=3245522#comment-3245522

. I tried the change of the template but encountered the next error as
described in the above mentioned page.

Hi,

We are trying to deploy ONAP on our Openstack following wiki instruction
below.
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Installing+and+Running+the+ONAP+Demos

We solved most of problems, and have every VM and Container work.
Finally stuck at following point:
  demo.sh init
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Tutorial%3A+Creating+a+Service+Instance+from+a+Design+Model

? As far as now, we can pass AUTH Step by changing
?GLOBAL_OPENSTACK_KEYSTONE_SERVER? in
?testsuite/properties/integration_robot_properties.py?.

? But still get following error, it seems like missing some tenant
information. Does any successfully make it work? Any thought?

May 4th we will still have a regular agenda going on. So you will be competing
with the main program which means the key players might be missing. May 5th is
the free for all day.

Hello,

I have made a public calendar for tracking the scheduled items for the may F2F

are running and I will try and keep it updated as we go along.

Hi,

1.It is embedded in the container, try the following URL :
http://:8080/camunda<http://%3ccontainerHostName%3e:8080/camunda>

2. a. it is currently using a wsdl to generate stubs (implementation) during
build, see pom.xml of that module
b. Not sure what you mean, compile works fine :
https://jenkins.onap.org/view/mso/job/mso-master-verify-profile-java/

Hi

1. After download and run those MSO containers, everything seems ok, but
we cannot visit cockpit console with the URL mentioned in Readme
'http://:8080/cockpit', not sure whether Camunda Engine not
included in the MSO docker image or needs some special configuration?
BTW: JBOSS console is ok.

2. MSO source code issue:

a. 'mso-network-adapter-async-client' package is incomplete on git, there
only have test code without any implementation code.

b. Compile MSO component will fail, please help to check.
