[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Loan Periods, vs. Circ status, vs location

2009-03-26 Thread Cynthia Williamson
Hi - I'm having some trouble translating SIRSI things to Evergreen. In
SIRSI there is an item type to which the circ rules are attached. e.g. we
have a book item type that circulates for 14 days, DVD type circulates for 3
days. I've found copy status and copy location in Evergreen but I'm not
seeing anywhere to add the actual loan periods. What am I missing?

delete some of the actual units that we created.   Some of them deleted
without a hitch, but there are some that remain, with an asterisk beside
them after I try to delete them. Any suggestions?

If those org units are in use by anything else in the system --
workstations, circulations, user home library, staff work locations,
holds, items, call numbers (not a complete list, either) -- then you
cannot delete them. This is restricted by database-level referential
integrity constraints.

Thanks Mike - we had a hunch they were still attached to something but
couldn't figure out what - it is the workstations.

Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] org unit types that won't delete??

2009-03-26 Thread Duimovich, George
Just FYI, I'm in the process of doing the same with a few workstations
on Windows XP. To reconfigure the workstation name attached to the Staff
Client, you'll have to delete the ws_info file.

In my workstation, it is located here:

C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Application
Data\OpenILS\open_ils_staff_client\Profiles\something
here.default\chrome

Do not confuse with ws_info.xul (which you shouldn't delete).

Also, your workstations may not be set to allow windows explorer to
search hidden or system files, so if you were to search C:\Documents
and Settings\ for the filename ws_info it still may not find ws_info
-- at least on my system, even with show hidden files and folders set
to checked in my options, search didn't find it.
