NOBLE is a consortium of 28 public and academic libraries in Mass. all
using Evergreen. Our feedback system is similar to what Tim has described.

Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Members of consortia--how do you give input to your leadership?

2017-07-12 Thread Terran McCanna
Hi Katie,

PINES has an Executive Committee made up of 9 regional library system
directors that are voted in by the entire group of 53 directors. Requests
for policy changes come from the Directors and go to the Executive
Committee, who then makes decisions with input from the rest of the
directors as well as Subcommittees that are made up of library staff. We
have PINES Director meetings three times a year, and also have private
list-servs for Directors and for Subcommittees.

Other types of feedback, such as patron feedback and suggestions on the
system, either go to the libraries and then get moved up along the chain if
needed or get sent directly to us (PINES support staff).

2017-07-12 Thread Tim Spindler
C/W MARS doesn't have a User Group but our entire consortium is on
Evergreen. We do have functional committees and interest groups that look
at and decide policy on specific functions including circulation, resource
sharing (holds/ILL), and and cataloging. In addition to that, we have an
OPAC interest group, serials interest group and acquisitions interest group.

2017-07-12 Thread Diane Disbro
Good morning –

Missouri Evergreen does have a user group. There are currently five executive
board members. That number may be increased to seven or nine in the near
future. We also have cataloging and circulation committees which meet monthly.
Full membership meetings are held as GoToMeetings six times a year.

Hello Evergreen community!

I'm the newly-elected Vice President of the Users Group of the SPARK
consortium, which provides Evergreen to over 100 libraries in Pennsylvania. We
are beginning to write our by-laws and we're wondering:

Are there any other EG UGs out there? And if so, how do they function?

If your consortium doesn't have an UG, how do you give
feedback/complaints/requests to your leadership?

Thanks in advance for your responses!

Hello Evergreen community!

I'm the newly-elected Vice President of the Users Group of the SPARK
consortium, which provides Evergreen to over 100 libraries in Pennsylvania.
We are beginning to write our by-laws and we're wondering:

Are there any other EG UGs out there? And if so, how do they function?
If your consortium doesn't have an UG, how do you give
feedback/complaints/requests to your leadership?

Thanks in advance for your responses!

[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Last day to request sandboxes for Bug Squashing Week!

2017-07-12 Thread Terran McCanna
Hi everyone,

If you need a sandbox to test on, please put in your request(s) today!
There are currently around 40 bugs that have pullrequest tags that aren't
currently assigned to anyone if you are looking for something to test:

http://bit.ly/2tMTIbw
(And please remember to assign yourself to the bug in launchpad if you are
planning to test the pullrequest.)

And there are loads of bug reports that have not yet been confirmed:

Thanks!

Hello everyone,

Our next community-wide Bug Squashing Week is scheduled for *Monday, July
17 through Friday, July 21, 2017*.

(Don't worry, you don't need to set aside the entire week to participate -
you can participate however much that you can fit into your schedule.)

You may participate in Bug Squashing Day by:

- Submitting new bug fixes for reported bugs
- Testing bug fixes that others have submitted (these should have the
"pullrequest" tag)
- Confirming bug reports that haven't been reviewed yet (this is a great
way to participate if you're not a coder!)
- Pushing bug fixes into Evergreen (for core committers)
- Assisting with documentation updates

Bug Squashing Day Info and Guidelines:

If you would like to request a sandbox (test server) to test bug fixes on
please fill out the this form by Wednesday, July 12:

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!
