Hi Elizabeth,

We have two separate report templates, one for overdue fines and one for fees
owed for lost or long overdue items.

They are very simple reports that include the circulation date (year), the
total balance owed and the number of patrons associated with the billed items.

The filters include: circulation date (range), billing location and last

If this sounds relevant and you need more information, please let me know.

[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Save the date: Northwest Evergreen Users Symposium

2018-11-09 Thread Jane Sandberg
Hi Evergreeners,

Please save the date of Tuesday, April 16, 2019 for the Northwest
Evergreen Users Symposium. It will be an unconference-style event,
with a very flexible agenda. We'll be sure to offer:
  * Some introduction for libraries new to Evergreen (or considering Evergreen)
  * Time to network and compare notes on Evergreen workflows
  * Opportunities for folks to practice their presentations for the
2019 Evergreen International Conference

The symposium will take place in the Vancouver Community Library in
Vancouver, Washington. It will be free and open to all, and we hope
you can join us!

Also, if you'd like to help coordinate this event, let us know. We'd
love to have you join us!

Warmly,

 All,

We are continuing to try to find an answer to this problem. No
combination of Record Source or 856 $9 seems to make any difference.

This morning I came across an ebook MARC record that had never had its
copy/item record deleted. Low and behold it DID show up in the Title Browse
 Results display.

So my question now is ... is this a settings issue or is it an
 Evergreen bug?

Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] [External] Re: Towards more consistent terminology in the web client

2018-11-09 Thread Dawn Fritz
Hi,

I have been trying to create a report in the Web client which shows the
Total amount showing owed in a patron record. There are many possibilities
in the patron record which all show the same amount owed. There is Total
Owed, Fines Owed, Bills and Total Billed. It would be nice if just 1 of
these would be used and that term usable in a report.

Thanks,

[OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Acquisitions coding is ready to begin!

2018-11-09 Thread Kathy Lussier
Hi all,

As I've mentioned in previous emails, the MassLNC Evergreen Development
Initiative has been working with Equinox to implement the next step of the
web client project: moving acquisitions to Angular interfaces.

The coding project will be divided up into ten sprints, and I'm please to
report that we have a quote and tech specs for the 1st sprint (Sprint 0).
Sprint 0 is for infrastructure and tool building, which will lay the
groundwork for all future sprints.

Sprint 0 comes with some exciting features, some of which can be used in
other web client interfaces when they eventually move from AngularJS to
Angular. My favorite is a new filter available in the top row of grids that
will allow users to filter the data retrieved in the grid. Although this
filter is a necessary component to bring feature parity to the acq
interfaces, I can think of many other web client interfaces where this
filter will be handy.

Sprint 0 will also include the adoption of a JavaScript library to
accurately perform monetary calculations in the client. This feature will
fix the existing issue where calculations are not always rounded to two
decimal places.

The MassLNC partners believe that implementing this project is a critical
next step in the web client project. A clean and consistent client across
all interfaces is essential to bring on new Evergreen libraries and to make
the experience a positive one for our existing staff users. Just as the
community came together to help fund the initial web client project, we're
hopeful that you all can come together again to fund its continued
development.

The full tech specs for the project are available at
https://yeti.esilibrary.com/dev/public/techspecs/angacq_sprint0_final.pdf.
There are two options available for filters that are outlined in the tech
specs, and the MassLNC development partners agree that Option A is the best
to implement.

If anyone is interested in helping us fund this project, please send me an
e-mail, and I will provide more details.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!
Kathy
