*Job Summary:*

NS is offering the opportunity to join the team responsible for ensuring
the quality of the corporation’s most highly visible and important
projects.  This position requires a professional who will be involved
throughout the testing life cycle.  The successful candidate will be
responsible for validating the functionality of the software produced by
the development team, reporting test status and ensuring the successful
release of the final product. The ability to interact with developers,
management, and business partners is required.  Additional responsibilities
include creating and maintaining automation test scripts to test the
functionality of the software.



*Responsibilities:*

-  Lead the QA testing efforts for  projects during the
development and implementation phases

-  Independently create, execute and maintain comprehensive
automation scripts using HP UFT

-  Apply structured testing methodology and strategies

-  Ensure the quality of requirements and design specifications

-  Develop test cases to cover requirements

-  Create comprehensive test cases/scripts that are in
accordance with business and technical specifications

-  Perform test case reviews with Business Analysts and
Development Team

-  Assist with test data identification

-  Plan and schedule test activities to ensure functional,
system, integration, and technical specifications

-  Develop and apply load testing standards to ensure the
ability of an application to meet nonfunctional requirements

-  Create defect tickets and track issues to resolution

-  Communicate test results, issues, and risks to project team
members, project managers and IT management



*Required Skills and Experience:*

-  HP UFT experience must include:

o Use of parameters instead of static text

o Data capture from the AUT including dynamic data/screen
capture

o Expertise in handling code logic for unexpected conditions,
process flow variations and expected error conditions

-  5+ years QA experience testing web-based and/or
client/server products including:

o Excellent test planning and organizational skills

o Experience in defect tracking

o Experience with essential SQL scripting

o Familiarity with corporate/enterprise level relational
databases

o Experience in HP UFT scripting

o Experience in scripting API or service layer calls

-  5+ years of experience in writing test cases from
requirements in HP ALM

-  Strong Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge

-  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-  Excellent analytical, problem solving and project management
skills

-  Ability to work independently and within a collaborative
team-oriented environment

-  Ability to work well under deadlines in a changing
environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently

-  College Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or
Engineering



*Preferred Skills:*

-  2+ years QA experience testing mainframe and/or web-based
applications

-  Transportation and Logistics experience

-  Ability to facilitate large meetings with all management
levels in attendance

-  Excellent leadership and people skills

-  Mobile application testing

•  Will create  run automation scripts. Will analyze results
and take necessary action.

•  Experience with open source tools is a MUST.

•  Will focus on back-end testing.

•  Lead experience is a nice to have.

•  Ruby or any other scripting language is preferred.

•  Not open to remote resources.





Our Atlanta client is seeking a Test Engineer in the Perimeter area. In
this role, analyze technical and non-technical requirements and translate
them into both manual and automatable scenarios.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of
a reusable and sustainable Test Automation framework.

•  Expand scenarios by leveraging cutting-edge Acceptance Test
Driven Development (ATDD) tools and scripting methodologies.

•  Demonstrate a solid understanding of both Agile and
Waterfall principles and software Development practices.

•  Possess a deep understanding of web applications and common
architecture.

•  Execute both manual and automated scenarios, analyze results
and act accordingly.

•  Effectively manage individual workload for multiple
assignments or projects.

•  Ability to lead medium-to-large sized products, from concept
to delivery.

•  Mentor and train more junior Test Engineers and other Team
members.

•  Maintain expert level of knowledge in Test Automation and
company applications

•  Assist team members in whatever is necessary, anywhere from
writing user stories to developing application code, to make the team a
success.

•  Demonstrate a passion for learning new processes and
techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  5-7 years of combined Object-oriented development and
testing experience

•  3+ years working in Agile environments

•  Demonstrated expertise performing SQL/Data verification
testing (MySQL and/or SQL Server)

•  Proficient with multiple test automation tools, preferably,
open-source test tools (ex. FitNesse, Cucumber and Selenium)

•  Strong understanding of Testing practices

•  Demonstrated experience working on and leading teams

•  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management or
Engineering; or equivalent work experience

PLUS SKILLS:

•  Hands-on Ruby development experience (or any other scripting
language)

•  Demonstrated experience in performance and stress testing
