Re: [OpenIndiana-discuss] Setting up Samba 3.5.9
http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/SWAT.html According to this it should be possible to run the swat in demo mode by specifying the -a flag ... although this isn't advised in production ... you should then be able to modify the config and specify the allowed hosts and the Admin users ... you could then remove the -a flag and run ... maybe. How do you go about enabling root account on OpenIndiana or creating a root like account for Samba? I tried creating an account manually with uid and gid of 0, but still couldn't log in to Swat. Are you trying to set up a domain controller? If not, you might consider using ZFS' built-in CIFS service; http://wiki.openindiana.org/oi/Using+OpenIndiana+as+a+storage+server#UsingOpenIndianaasastorageserver-CIFS%2FSMB ___ OpenIndiana-discuss mailing list OpenIndiana-discuss@openindiana.org http://openindiana.org/mailman/listinfo/openindiana-discuss
